Immersive Engineering Tutorial #2 - Power Distribution and Networks (MC 1.7.10)

Before we go into how to generate power you need to know how to distribute it and set up power grids. This is a big subject, but I will cover everything you need to get started! Edit: Please note that HV cable can reach 32 blocks and not 16 as stated in the video.
The most important thing is how to handle different voltage tiers and to be able to transform between voltage levels. Basically, LV and MV can be treated the same, but HV has some extra details to remember.

The cables from Immersive Engineering can also convert between RF and EU, making them very useful in bigger mod packs like FTB Infinity or Resonant Rise

how do you place the transformer on the post.. why can't I figure it out.

I just tried it in my current LP world (Minecraft 1.10.2) and the normal transformer can be placed like in this video, but the MV-HV transformer will not attach to the post. Probably just a bug, check github and report the problem if it's not already reported and perhaps even fixed in a later version?

Is there an option to switch it to U.S. style number system so that decimals are indicated with a period (like 1.73) and larger numbers are indicated with commas (like one thousand is 1,000)?

In updated mod versions all tiers of connectors can only have one wire attached. So only the start and end points, use relays for splitting/merging or transfer over longer distances.

You have to use the Engineer´s Hammer to change the Redstone Connectors between input and output. Then you can connect levers and redstone dust to the blocks next to the connectors.

Sorry for a late anwer! But I haven't made any tutorial video of such, but if you still need answer to that question you use wires as normal in IE, make sure TE Energy Cells ar correctly configured and when going to AE2 use an Energy Acceptor.

i use the energy acceptor.. but... it don't take energy from the cable... don't know how i can show the images of myy world to explain better

Take several screenshots, put them in an album online (use Imgur, it's free), and describe the pictures as well. It makes things easier for me. Also add info about what mods or modpack you're using, versions and all. It helps a lot instead of having to ask or guess ;)

This is different for all modpacks as it's set in a config file. These days you can check JEI for copper ore and see there at what level it spawns.

No matter what I do I can't seem to connect two wires on the same wire connector... which makes them kind of pointless... and renders this mod kind of pointless.

A connector can't have two wires attached. The whole purpose of a connector is to connect to a single point (a production or usage point). You use relays for the network and splitting/joining cables.

When i want to connect my survivalist generator to my leadstone energycell there is no power transfering. The LV wire connector on my survivalist generator says 256/256 RF but the one ontop of my leadstone energycell is says 0/256 RF. But when i switch my leadstone energycell out with a thermionic fabricator is does transfer power. Can anyone explain to me why my energycell isnt charging?
