I love peter Levine!!!! You are helping me heal. May God Bless You!!

When someone is depressed or in grief, please just listen! Please don’t try to encourage them “to feel better”. If you support them by simply listening and being there (you don’t need to say anything), even joining them in using Levine’s “Voo”, they will be able to work through the darkness and come out the other side. It will work, but it takes time, understanding and perseverance.

"The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure that you seek" (Joseph Campbell). Thank you both for this beautiful and really helpful talk! I do experience an invisible enemy, and I can say to myself "I think that...".

Can someone help me understand what he means when he says in order to get out of the immobility response we need to contradict it?
@yashi7799 Жыл бұрын
So basically immobility response is like a state of shut down and in order to get out of the state- we need to get out of the “stuckness “and move.
@sharonashley1008 Жыл бұрын
@@yashi7799 Oh ok that makes sense. So moving are bodies even though we don’t want to with maybe light yoga or just walking around will get us out of it?
@dreamvex_575510 ай бұрын
@@sharonashley1008to my understanding it’s move that energy out of our bodies. I remember hearing something about how kids just shake and do all these silly movements it’s natural to them and that helps move energy throughout them. Throughout the years going through life and adulthood you lose that

So much wisdom and truth here. The pandemic and Trump have traumatized (re-traumatized) millions of us... and the threat is not quite identifiable, and everywhere. My system is so out of whack.

Politicizing trauma is counterproductive 🥺

i think all of these people who say they have skills they can teach you that will relieve suffering and then charge for them is immoral.

I don't mind paying a fair price...but when prices are 300-400 for 1/2 hr on zoom is ridiculous. Then it's only for the rich.
@calmwithtay9 ай бұрын
In a society where people need to make money I would have to disagree. I do think fair pricing is good.
