Arthur Brodsky, Ph.D. is the principal science writer at the Cancer Research Institute (CRI), where he specializes in cancer immunotherapy. His work involves translating the science behind this exciting revolution in cancer treatment into clear and concise content that all can appreciate. Through his work at CRI he also collaborates with the leading cancer doctors, researchers, and nonprofit organizations, to develop blueprints for moving the field of cancer immunotherapy forward. Before turning to science communication full-time, Arthur completed his doctorate in Bioengineering at Clemson University, where researched diverse topics including biopharmaceuticals, stem cells, and breast cancer.

Saurabh gupta I had chemotherapy only for 3 months and I got 4 tumours back and I got one new tumour. So i had two key tumour reduction periods one with medical cannabis and some chemo and the I went on to immunotherapy and medical cannabis for 7 months. This removed all tumours bar one small 5mm tumour In lymphatic node. So I then took 4 weeks radiation to get rid of that tumour. I need to stress that I used multiple treatments and multiple health actions and got a result oncologist could not believe. It alarms me that inside hospital system and in the alternative medicine area many style push one treatment - today I would not be given chemo at all. They have a test for immunotherapy. So my story is instructive because I did 4 medical treatments. Given cancer risk of both chemotherapy and radiation therapy I would avoid it unless absolutely necessary. My decision to take chemo was driven by fact my lung tumours were pressing into my spine and the nerve pain was unbearable- the combination of vegan diet, medical cannabis and some chemo saw rapid tumour reduction that shocked hospital in just 2 months. That was powerful for me self belief but I dropped my diet and cannabis- 3 months later I got scan with 4 old tumours back. So most of my tumours where only reduced during good diet and cannabis periods. What is amazing is that once your immune system is activated tumour reduction can occur in 8 weeks. And on the flip side if you can regress in a few months. So lesson is that cancer is complex and long term goal must be to do as many actions as possible to boost your immune system. But that does not mean other medical treatments that ‘buy time’ are not worth considering but you need to understand a restoration of your lymphatic system and immune functions is only lasting process to contain cancer. Oluwabukola Olabode initially I used a photocopy of diet from another cancer patient. So was vegetarian for 2 months. I then included fish and some organic chicken. But my diet was mainly raw vegetables and some fruit. I cut out all sugar, no grog, no cows milk and restricted carbs. The diet I developed was very better than my pre diagnosis diet. As I went on replace tap water with spring water etc. For best result do blood test to check your deficiencies and then look up the whole foods you need to fill those. You can also add in probiotics. I favoured celery and spinach and kale for breakfast. I was changing from a life long high meat, high sugar and high carb diet so my health impact was huge because I was removing a lifetime of bad habits. Olive oil,turmeric, almonds and lemons were also daily ingredients. I am mildly lactose intolerant so dropping cows milk helped digestive function. So there are many ways to ingest more enzymes, vitamins, minerals, probiotics and anti inflammatory raw foods but you need to develop your ingredient list based on your needs. Get blood text first so your choices are informed - dieticians and naturopaths are main general in focus but they may help you as long as you keep them focused on your needs. Good luck.

My wife age got CTC stage between 2 and 3 in 2016 may. She had Oxyliplatin and Zeloda after removing sigmoid colon of 8 cm. Unfortunately, now she got metathesis to lung and nodes around. can immunotherapy useful ?

2012, I had metastatic melanoma in the brain, both lungs, liver, kidney, gall bladder, left adrenal gland and spinal cord. I had two craniotomies, three Gamma Knife radiations and was seated in the very first clinical trial of two immunotherapy treatments. The Yervoy and Opdivo treatments had me cancer free in eight months. Side effects? On yes I did. Will there be a cure for all cancers in the future? Absolutely.

Problem is finding a good doctor who has compassion and there to guide you and help you get better but many just look at you like like a customer and what they can get out of you. They literally think they are gods and make everything about them and their egos. you dying of cancer means squat to them.

I am trying to get immunatherapy for my son who has bladder cancer but the hospital said no he has to have 9weeks of chemo and his bladder and prostate taken out he is 47.

Judy Johnstone please look up “The Joe Tippens protocol”. Even his doctor at MD Anderson in Houston acknowledge what he did with his anti-parasitic drug CURED him and no evidence of disease= NED, in a period of 3 Month. He has a Facebook site, “My Cancer story rocks”,.. I think ..

Unfortunately, not everyone can receive the immunotherapy. Every cancer is different and there are people who are not responsive to this kind of treatment, that's why they need to undergo the chemo- or radiotherapy.

Agree withStarry Night. Tippins Protocol - the dog wormer called “Fenbendezole” - is exact same med (renamed for human use) called “Mebendezole” and it’s FDA approved, in tablet form! What if the immune system is the one telling cancer to perform 'tissue repair' of destroyed tissue, and also the one to tell cancer to atoptose when the tissue environment has stopped to be toxic to normal tissue (spontaneous remission)? Cancer cells are clearly our cells and they don't do what they do because of mutations (inherited mutations might change the immune system though).

Both the Budwig protocol and the Gerson protocol against cancer are two very low iron diets. Their founders weren't aware of that, but isn't it interesting? Basically protein in Budwig is from cottage cheese, which is a form of dairy most people can tolerate. Dairy and fruits are the two lowest iron containing foods on the planet.

Cancer is a really complex condition. Even though people have the same cancer type, they can be very different (on the genetic level and not only) and therefore not respond to the therapy in the same way. Believe me, if it was that easy, people would be already cancer-free, but as said in the video there is still a lot of things that need to be resolved.
