A stock TRD can definenitly do any of these trails, there are just a few trails that I wouldn't recomend a stock 4x4 to go on (Poughkeepsie and Mineral creek) this area is a must for the history and senery of Colorado

I appreciate your comment about balancing the desire to obtain pics/video for content while enjoying the area and challenge. I can only imagine how often you jump out and run ahead only to pass the setup and fall back to retrieve it. Has to be super time consuming and through your edits you make it seamless and fun. Nice work!

Imogene is amazing. That is one of my favorite passes I've ever done. It gets steep near the summit and made it fun on a loaded down dual sport with my pops. Good on you for getting the munchkins out there. They will always remember adventures with dad. I know those are the best memories for me. 👍

I’ve been on Imogene pass like hundreds of time and I learned that the shack was used for mining. Also the building on top of the peak to the left on top of Imogene was a station for troops to stop some fighting between two mining places on either side of the mountain. I don’t know if any of these things are completely true but I learned them over a few years being up there👍🏼

Did this in 4th of July 2017. Had so much fun. Took much longer than anticipated. Did it in the same direction using our OME lifted and factory rear locked Xterra on 33" duratracs. Was pretty easy but did have a few moments of looking over the edge and thinking.....damn that's a long way down. I was aired down to 19psi rear sway stayed connected Btw, we made it to telluride and stayed at the angler inn in Placerville. Our son loved the giant whirlpool bath tub. I took my family up the same trails and many of the old abandoned buildings you see were built during the mining days. Be glad you did not attempt black bear in that weather as you would come to several switch-backs that require a spotter to ensure your tires stay on the dry. Many passengers get out of the vehicles (including mine) when you come to the switch-backs as you will inch forward, go back, inch forward, go back, inch forward, go back and repeat many many times. Pretty though!

My wife and I did this trail today. The part you found treacherous was the exact part that I thought we were going to die today. The driver side where you were worried was dug out to where the articulation wouldn't allow us traction. So we tried the higher line away from ledge. We got on such an angle I just knew we were going to flip causing us to fall to our deaths. Not sure I've ever been so scared. Came to KZbin hoping to see the line people used at that particular spot. The rest of the trail was pleasurable. That one spot was just to scary.
