@@lurkingposter , I haven't watched a lot of anime but I can see how it's held in high regard. The arc was riveting, complex and heart wrenching and I'm glad I stuck with it. I found the ' Queen's "encounter" with the brother and sister on the beach ' scene, so disturbing that I seriously considered not watching any further. I hope the ladies are tougher than me but from their reaction to the queen eating fish *😄*, I have some doubts.

in the manga and the original 1999 anime, it actually shows the incident with Gon and Kite and shows a closer uncle/nephew type bond. so when they meet later on, Gon automatically remembers Kite. why they changed it in the 2011 version, i have no idea
