Hard working dave, the milwaukee is shutting off because of the internal Electtonics, its protecting itself from damage. its still a beast of an impact driver tho 💪🏾
@SuperSoldierStan2 жыл бұрын
for years HILTI niche was longevity, durability , they werent about speed , but in the last couple years where other tool manufacturers are more focused on speed, and prosumers are also speed driven, hilti felt left behind, so they are trying to evolve, stay relevant, which is a good thing, they make robust tools, strong, all tools die, but hilti has nine lives 😁

Ryobi bits arent garbage, just misunderstood! What you do is you run them over a cheese grater until they are fine powder, should take about 30 seconds, then you sprinkle the dust over your other Ryobi tools and it increases their performance by 10%. While you use Milwaukee shockwave bits in it of course.

Great Video as usual.. Also totally agree on Ryobi bits, complete trash, I’ve had their Titanium drill bits break completely from its shaft, assembled incorrectly causing horrible wobble (same drill bit set), and their driver bits look worn TF out after driving in a few torx or PH screws.. never again will I buy their drill or driver bits .. So far liking the Milwaukee bits and the Kobalt XTR

@michaelenockson65362 жыл бұрын
Also, Dave, that 8.0ah battery is too much for the Milwaukee impact. It's causing the RedLink to shut it down. A 3.0HO is plenty for it, a 6.0HO for runtime. The 8's & 12's are best for circs and recips.
@michaelenockson65362 жыл бұрын
Great video Dave. I currently have a couple Gen3 M18 Fuel impacts. I also have a M18 Fuel impact wrench, the newer, stubbier version. Not overly impressed with it. I'm waiting for the new Gen4 impact. Dewalt stepped up their game lately, long overdue. I picked up the DCF850 at HD, but ended up returning it after it puked one morning at the jobsite. I still have yet to see anything beat the Gen3 Milwaukee. A coworker who was a big Makita guy recently switched to Milwaukee, but won't let go of his 36v, dual battery rear handle circ saw. That thing is a beast. Almost every framer I see loves them.

@@athannaelanderson3806, not blind at all. The Flex definitely has the power, but until their longevity is proven to hold up out in the professional field, I'll stick with Red. it just goes to show once you add up all the little things with the milwaukee, it shows that the hilti is just there to work. on-site nobody is usually compairing what can put in screws fastest, it’s more what can just get the job done i guess.

09:15 Meanwhile the ryobi with a simple 1.5Ah battery be liek: _oh you two big boys can't bottom this bolt? Hmmph! Look at me go!_ 😁 (to add insult to injury that entire impact wrench setup weighs something like 4 pounds + 1 oz. And only costs like 195$ to kit it out. Thank you for the good experiment. However, I think there is a little problem with the experiment. If you experiment with a hilti right next to the place where the hexagonal piece was drilled in Milwaukee, you can have a problem that the tree density increases and it doesn't get stuck.

Same idiotic mistake driving them right next to each other so the second tool suffers a penalty from compressed timber providing a biased and silly review. Really? Ouch. Hilti is a brand new 2022 tool with 22 volts, more IPM, higher price point, equally matched RPM, more torque, needs to take multiple breaks, runs hotter, and can’t keep up with a Milwaukee 18v tool that came out years ago? Sorry Hilti MORON I mean NURON tools, try again. It literally lost every single test even with a damn toaster sized battery! I mean it did hold on to the bit but when you take 30-40% longer to do a task I guess you need to get one thing right. The light is cool. Two points. Run it against the Ryobi HP line.

That gen3 can't even compete without at least an enormous 180$(after tax) XC6 battery and weighs over 5 pounds with it installed. 6 entire pounds with the XC8 used in this video.
