I'm having the same dilemma and was thinking it was due to.my blades but I recently sharpened them. It was ticking me off a bit 🙃 Side note I'm about 40-50 miles east of you ( South Bend area ) so we're experiencing the same weather.

Hey Jake, fellow ProVista KBG guy here in Illinois. I thought you did one cut a month ago to get rid of brown tips from winter damage and to wake it up? I've been using my Mammotion Luba 5000 and have cut it at 2.8" probably three times now. Even with the freezing temps I had last week, my lawn is still double dark blue compared to all of my neighbors light lime green. I also did a prodiamine app a month ago and I literally only have 5-10 dandelions across 14,000 sq ft compared to all of my neighbors' thousands of dandelions. I just need your advice on what to do in May when the dreaded seedheads start growing. Should I just not mow the entire month of May and have it look like crap with all the seedheads until I scalp everything down? Those seedheads look like I'm growing bushes in my lawn in May 😂

Looks like the cut lawns had a dessication event from the freeze.

Good info! It would be great to hear from you in the near future about how your battle with the Quack Grass is going an. I did an early scalp on my KBG, but it's been too cold to cut it ever since so I'm hoping the quack grows tall so I can glove of death it being I don't have ProVista.

Jake!! Every year my grass is thick and green but when I look down towards the roots of the grass it’s always yellow and wet looking! Is that normal? It usually gets like that in the summer and I’m not sure if it’s too think or maybe needs to be aerated! 🤔🤦🏻‍♀️

You have to ask yourself, if you didnt spray fert, would it have burned? I'd imagine probably not.
@JakeTheLawnKid
@JakeTheLawnKid 5 ай бұрын
Yes. True. But I also have to be observant to the fact that the lawns that burned up were cut and fertilized. The ones that were either just cut or just fertilized and not yet cut for the year didn't burn that bad. It goes both ways.

Great topic, going thru this right now thought it was my blades too. Fertilized and cut way too early. Will be more patient next spring. Lawn looks great!

Your ProVista looks great. I haven't put down any fert yet since end of October. My ProVista is looking great. Have been mowing about 3 times a week at 3/4" and even with some frost last week still holding up well.

Nice! So far my got Urea 46-0-0 last fall, and again this spring alongside 15-0-0 combined with pro diamine and just recently a massive AIR8 cocktail and N-charge 28-0-0 so she's on fire right now. Also, on the contrary, I haven't mowed at all this season.
