This is the video I needed, I ordered a crash cage and sub cage from impaktech for my z650, and I was looking for a video that showed an in-depth install with clear video.

Hey did you have to cut anything on your Z650? I have a 2023 model. I’m considering getting cages but now I’m worried if I have to cut anything.

@@Germanz6 do you have any issues with your shin hitting the impaktech when you shift at all? I am seeing a couple comments about that regarding the z400. I have a 2022 z650 but am hesitant in ordering.

is there any way u can cut the belly fairings? and if yes could u make a video about it?

You could weld a nut on the end of that all thread and it’d make it a really long bolt. That nut is called a lock nut too.

It’s a nylok nut. That means it’s a lock nut that uses nylon to keep the nut from backing off from any movement like a motor vibration like crazy.

I've been trying to instal my crash cage on my Z400 but having an issue with my shins bumping the cage every time I go to shift.... Did you run into this issue at all? I see you've got aftermarket rear sets. Is that going to be pretty much my only solution? If so, what rearsets do you run?
