i hate that the GR9 can't mount a long underbarrel rail. stupid considering Dare is a GR9 and was released WITH Heartbreaker (kingbreaker has a long rail).

Right now I have a lot of fun on the modifier with Backfire. Mk17 with Preservation, NInjabike bag, 2 Uzina, 1 Ceska, Picaro's Holster and Sokolov chest with Obliterate, 100% Hazard Protection. With tier 6 shield, Preservation and 20% armor on kill, it makes me incredibly versatile and self-sufficient. Really recommended.

Finally! Can finally dust Dare off. GR9 always been a favorite but was always disappointed (even with it having a long barrel, it's considered short) and could never equip link laser.

so the real liability here, and which really sucks overall and has always been a dev fail, is the lack of a long underbarrel slot on the GR9 to fuel consistent HB stacking. using a large mag weapon to take advantage of Impatient and the short range modifiers is fun though, similar to going the other way with long range to lock in by the teeth with body shots. the same idea can be used basically anywhere without heartbreaker and the need to pulse/hit head shots. not to mention having it stack/work on skill proxies- namely wall-E bots are super annoying vs HB.

Luckily I feel it's easy enough to maintain pulse status w/ the Heartbreaker headshot, but yeah especially on a weapon with Perfect Flatline it would be nice to be able to use the laser pointer

@RogueGold Yes if you are good at headshots its less of a dealbreaker but I feel especially versus tusk is where it's liability really bothers me, so it's off the table in legendary without LLP just due to dogs (no heads, no stacking) and density of wall-E bots and how dangerous they are. I really don't understand how the devs apportion mods slots into weapon budgets, but it's clearly there (see base damage of sig716 vs. sig716cqb). I'd take a negative hit on the GR9 somewhere (reload speed?) to get a long under rail, but honestly, it doesn't need it, especially given the fixed CHC 8x optic. And ya, Dare being perfect flatline is definitely a wtf choice for the talent placement given what should be an obvious use case ala Kingbreaker (which does have a long rail). I only assume it's another one of those "devs don't actually play this game like we do" things, kinda like how they still haven't acknowledged Fragile Armor and now No Regen Directives are broken (the latter since Tu20).

Not fully sure what you mean, the gameplay in this video is on Xbox and I can shoulder-aim it like any other weapon. It should only scope you in if you click the joystick for the magnified view.

Nice build, still need to make a good lmg build at some point, usually run 4 piece strikers and have ran that forever but decided to change and now run 2 piece belstone (backpack with perfect bloodsucker), contractors, fox’s prayer, a fenris chest (obliterate) and improvised holster with chameleon and shield/repair drone & having lots of fun with that all be it I’m usually rubbish with builds and only play upto challenging difficulty 😂

seems to be the right time to unstash HB :) Additional question regarding Modifiers. I experience, that the GM are not saved w/ my loadouts and everytime i start the game all GM are unequipped. Does this not happen to you? i+m on PC btw

The un-equipping aspect of it is definitely a bug. I don't think the Devs have added it to the Known Issues Board yet, but it should hopefully get fixed in a patch soon 👍 As far as saving them to loadouts, unfortunately I don't think we're going to see that. Mainly because the same request has been there to let Specialization tree perks get saved to loadouts for years, and that hasn't happened. I'm guessing there's some weird technical limitation behind the scenes that makes it difficult to have that as an option.

Usually they're dead before it matters 😄 Jokes aside, Master of None typically isn't impacting me too much. I'm mobile enough that the long-range shock rarely hits me, and if I do get caught on fire in the short range, you can hip fire/blind fire over cover, and hitting 1 headshot to pulse the target means you'll be hitting plenty hard even when not ADS'ing. You can always swap out Drawback/Liability for the Bait and Switch passive modifier if you wanted some built-in Hazard!

@RogueGold I'm running 4 negotiators dilemma all red. Belstone chest obliterate armor, armor Regen crit dam crit Chance, Belstone pack unstoppable armor crit hit chance 2 crit dam. Pestilence, The grugde. Try it out. I think you wld have fun with it.

You should try this with an MG5 Crit chance roll and Killer as the weapon talent, paired with the new exotic holster for even more damage and fire rate.

Only potential issue I see there is with Impatient, your mag size will be quite small- and might spend a lot of time reloading/swapping. But could be strong for sure!

except for the long underbarrel rail- HB is super inconsistent when you need to repeatedly proc headshots for the pulse. there is a reason everyone used the ACS-12 to stack it quickly in the past and it wasn't from being able to get headshots.
