Let's not conflate serious abuse with a rather tawdry office affair. We've all made mistakes in our twenties, that doesn't mean that you get to free yourself of the responsibility. Yes there was a power dynamic at play here but she wasn't forced in any way. I do have some sympathy for her however.

I been following this story for a few years now. Not only did the media, and most of the American public ridicule Monica ( Paula Jones, Kathleen Willey, and Juanita Broaddrick), but Pop Culture (entertainment, music) also glorified and sensationalized the scandal as well.

Hillary Clinton hand a hand in promoting that ridicule and attempting to ruin those women's lives in order to save her husbands career and her future with him in the Democrat party.

"Monica wasn't sexually harassed. Monica was in a consensual relationship, however it was a very unequal relationship. A girl with zero power. A man literally dominating the globe." It took me until I got much older to realize this. Consensual doesn't make it moral. He was older and had all the power. Yes, she flirted, but she was also his intern and decades younger than him.

Even tho Bill payed a gigantic price for the Monica thing, it's rarely mentioned how unbelievably lucky he was. What if she'd been planted there & under the control of some nefarious force or foreign government? They hook up, then she/they threaten to expose Bill if he doesn't comply in some way. Or she could've financially blackmailed him. With the stakes that high, she basically could've named her price. Or what if she'd been a total psycho and physically harmed him during an encounter? My only problem with this case was the recklessness of it - I could care less about a guy constantly cheating on is wife, even the President. Bill was reckless with his own life but also many others, that's the worst part of it.

Just because a relationship is consensual doesn't preclude the fact that one or both parties can be victims.

In this case, Bill remained in office and Monica fashioned a career out of the relationship which she still talks about and is still propelling her before the media to this day 23 years later. Some actors or singers careers don't last that long.
