I literally cannot believe that TSM had StafingFlame telling them he would come IGL them, and they decided to just go with another "up and coming 4-3 linear roller demon"

It’s not that simple. They had like 2 weeks before pro league so it wasn’t enough time. Plus imagine if he did and the trial wasn’t successful I mean strafingflame would have to learn how to play in NA scrims and scrims in NA aren’t the same as other regions. They also didn’t want to screw him over if he decided to go back plus his team was already doing well. There’s a reason why NA region is the most difficult.

Hal is 100% right about TSM. They just need 1 IGL. Evan doesn’t need to do coms or calls for moves. He just need to shoot. He is S tier fragger in this game. Why he is trying be IGL? He like a robot, u need to control him and give him coms to use his 100% potential.

You have to be a natural igl to even start becoming an igl. Neither of which they are. They're playing ranked solo q calling what they see, not what to do.

100%. Tbh I’d rather have a Teq (no shade) who is a natural igl but lacks in gun skill. Over a team with firepower but no IGL

No such thing as a natural Igl. You play and study the game, get good, put yourself in those leadership situations time and time again, until you eventually become a sufficient igl of said game. That's how all your favorite igls of video games have done it and any other sports endeavor. No one is born a natural igl for some random game, it's all trainning to get the experience for that leadership role. Verhulst and Reps have never even had the chance to be put in that role before to gain that experience. Reps has been piggybacking of Hal for so long so god knows whats gonna happen with him, but Verhulst is still very young and has ample time to improve in all aspects of the game.

@@riegzs It's all trainning my dude. Most players like Hal have been playing this game for years, and were shoved into the role of leader and had to make it work. You learn to get used to it and all the nuances of it. And even after that, theres still things to work on with being a leader. Hal may understand the game very well and have strong position and rotation knowledge, but the guy is god awful at communication. berating your team with awful words after every loss is not a good sign of a leader and will cause teams to break. He's improved a lot in his commnuicaton style since, but still has many "improvements" to make.

In all seriousness, I think Reps should be IGL. Yes he is introverted and has been a support role, but I truly believe he can make the best calls. A prime example is when he gave the call for TSM to go under the hanger at Launch Site in order for them to get the ball rolling to win that Lan. Co IGLing doesn’t work. As an example, It’s like what happened with Xera and Panders. They wanted to Co IGL with their third, which in turn, didn’t help each other over all.

Hal is right about no one being able to hard igl. They all seem to be giving each other information constantly on what is happening around them but no one is able to make a fixed decisive call on how they should swing or make a play to win a fight/game.

When things get hectic and fights start happening, the team falls apart. There is no fighting igl on the team, honestly, the most important aspect of an igler. You need someone to dictate the tempo of the fight and coordinate attacks together. No one does it on tsm, its all just people feeding each other info with no final call. I honestly don't think anyone on this team has the "it" factor to be a fight caller. None of them have actual experience calling fights as they always had someone else do it for them.

Literally what I said from the start, when the pressure gets high, who has the right decision? In the heat of the moment, they’ll all think they are right, they need one person to make good decisions and just go for it, as a team. I mean most of us who have watched competitive Apex kinda saw this a mile away…. I think Reps needs to IGL.

I think Hal is right but this critique reflects more of when TSM barely got Zap. If you’ve been watching TSM lately they have gotten wayyyy better really quickly but yeah they still have this problem but it’s not as bad as it first was

I think zap, being blood, can take that igl role, plus that’s what they are used to for the last while with Hal. The current meta kind of requires that bang / cat wall for blocking los and letting blood push. So if zap can master the micro to see teams to send and letting the great reps and verhulst to support the push, they can start running them down like the falcons. It’s adapting to the new meta, and mastering the current energy weapon, bloodhound, can’t see shit meta.

LOL, Honestly I dont think they need another Hal. Hal tells them to shutup when theyre giving him info. Zero never does that. It's a good thing that your teammate's keep giving you info even if you already know it. They cant read his mind. How are they suppose to know what Hal already spotted. Zap is starting to grow on me, especially now that he’s started to grow more confidence in himself. I guess I just don’t understand why they initially picked him up to begin with. Evan said him and Reps were either looking for an IGL or “firepower” and said Zap fit the role of firepower. But why they looked for that position is just strange bc thats always been Evans role in TSM. Everyone knew that too, he was the fragger roller player. Adding another one isn’t gonna do shit😭 I really think either Zap or Reps needs to step up and IGL. Evan is not an anchor or a IGL, he’s a controller demon that flourishes with the right leadership.

TSM simply needs to rotate to zone earlier and hold it down. And consider picking up a Support legend like Loba for unlimited ammo, more batts, access to blue supply bins, and crafting banners. They should swap bang or bloodhound for a Support legend like Loba, Lifeline, Newcastle, Mirage, or even Gibby.
