The thousand sons are the ONLY legion I feel sorry for that were traitors. They were destroyed by the Emperors Custodes and an entire legion of wolves plus sisters of battle. From their perspective, the imperium tried to kill them. The rest of the traitors were pretty “all in” for rebellion. Thousand sons got into it for revenge Edit: Sisters of Silence. Also every other legion. All of them. Would have lost to the space wolves and their allies if that assault was on another world. Valdor and his custodes plus warp negation and a legion of astartes would kill any primarch and his legion in a conventional way. Custodes as a full Dread Host alone is enough without any back up. They’d kill whatever primarch and their legion. Custodes are just so much better than an astartes. What humans are to space marines they are to the golden host

Just to add on too add insults to injury the big E told Magnus that he would forgive him and let him back into the imperium ( hell if I remember right he even showed him his vision of the future) if he killed his entire legion who at this point had yet to truly do anything wrong.

I'm waiting for Tzeench to follow his own principle and metamorphose into a good god. Like, I want him to go through a 99 year Gary Stu cycle. I want to see Tzeench settle into deep contemplation of a galaxy free of existential strife. A place where the Necrons have found their flesh and souls again and live to create beautiful art and the Tyrannids have been defused into nonviolent agricultural swarms that rehabilitate the scorched and toxic worlds to be paradise for organic life. A galaxy where humanity is free from the miserable autophagy and stifling theocracy it's mired in. Then I want Tzeench to startle awake only to be soothed by a minion that he'd fallen asleep and dreamed it all. He'd respond with how that much good was overwhelming change, not his usual subtle tinkering, but it's not that the whole idea was actually wrong. Then he'd emanate 9 companions for Gulliman, battle houris as powerful and inspiring as St. Celestine whose faith is unshakably rooted in science and logic; 9 sorcerers with the virtue and psychic power of the Emperor would have if he actually was perfectly good, and 99,999 ships each capable of being taken by a Navigator through an empty hyperspace instead of the Warp. Then he'd sit back and giggle at just how badly the meatballs would use the changes to screw themselves even harder.

The problem with tzeentch is that the whole faction is not relatable to anyone. Everyone feels wrath and bloodlust, its natural to understand Khorne... the desire to do do very very well, perfection, that saucy dish... everyone knows that to understand Slaanesh... That one kid who won;t take a shower and stinks or the time you drop a deuce and leave it there for someone else to discover... everyone can understand Nurgle... But the whole thing about being able to pull impossibility from the aether and have it more impactful than magic, the sociopathic desire to manipulate others and plot schemes... ain't no one can understand that except the people that will never play 40k.

None of the chaos gods were born from any connection to terra as it takes a lot more than a single tiny pointless world to create a chaos god in 40k. The war in heaven created the conditions that lead to all the chaos gods apart from the galaxy wide eldar empire that created slaanesh. The middle ages or any of that on terra didn't have anything to do with tzeench. Good vid

the emperor could defeat any chaos god in a 1 on 1 fight , hell ,he might even be able to kill slanesh and nurgle together , the problem starts when 2 or more decide to gang up on big E ,remember, he burned the garden of nurgle to dust without him even being there (by possessing girly man). so yes ,tzeentch can be absolutely stopped ..... none of the gods will die outright ,but they can be kept at bay with them causing minimal to no damage to humanity .....
