That's a good point I have never thought about... Man I feel stupid for not picking up on that. If there are no mortals to offer up negative spiritual energy then do they just stop getting more powerful or do they slowly die? Or do all the followers keep it alive?

No lore reason I don't think, but my head cannon is that the war in heaven polluted the warp and evil is a lot more aggressive than good, so Amy good things cannot gain purchase there, especially with the galaxy being as it is

5:15 yeah no the medival age chaos gods has been retconned out for good reason. It does not make sense for one planet to active them when slaanesh require the eldari galaxy wide orgy to do so.

Exactly. I think a more contemporary way of looking at it is that humanity attracted the already existent Chaos Gods over that stated period, and then started to feed and shape those already existing gods with human emotions, concepts and souls...

One day, I truly hope GW retcons this. To my mind, the idea that 3 Chaos Gods were born by Man is just sheer nonsense. Especially when the Aeldari of the time numbered in the trillions to birth Slaanesh. It would be more sensible to say that the Ruinous Powers were born in the War of Heaven.

@@RichD424 I just checked again, and indeed the lore that has Nurgle as the oldest God was somewhat retconned. However, according to the newer lore, the gods are MUCH older than mankind.
