mysql workbench encountered a problem when trying to pass on command line parameters to the already running workbench instance.maybe there's a hanging workbench process that is pretending to be the current instance. How to solve this problem? Reply fast bro

Tanks sir, however, my start import button was not visible and then I have to import it via my cmd. I first added MySQL-Server's bin directory path to my System variables then I ran the following command on my cmd: mysql -u username -p yourDatabaseName < path\to\your\file.sql Replace `username`, `yourDatabaseName`, and `path\to\your\file.sql`with your actual MySQL username, the database name where you want to import, and the path to your SQL file.

I have an old 32 bit laptop and I tried a lot of times to do these things, but I don't think it works, unless I buy a 64 bit ! Right ?

I think so, nobody really used 32 bit any more. and most softwares don't support this.

I don't have server option in the toolbar for some reason. Do I need to first use Xampp or something similar to create localhost server?

@@dbestech Thank you a lot for quick the answer. I was trying to look for the answer quickly using teacher's notes, but he didn't mention to click on local instance first. This works now. After I clicked on local instance first the server option appeared in the toolbar. Thanks so much for the great video. :)

@@dbestech Turned out I needed to install Xampp after all and create localhost server with it first. Then I could use connect to local instance in the MySQL Workbench and had to put manually name for the connection and works now. I think MySQL Workbench doesn't come with MySQL itself so had to start server for it with Xampp, but works now. Just in case anybody in the future has similar problem.
