Importance of Checking Oil in Your Honda ADV 150

I explain why I believe my oil was low in my Honda ADV 150 and go for an oil run to the local dealership to purchase more.

I recently changed my oil at 600 miles and after checking it right around 700 miles I could not detect any oil on the dipstick! I thought this was a little strange, but it turned out it just needed to be topped off after it cycled through the engine more.
Please keep an eye on your oil level just to be sure and check it every few hundred miles. At least I will from now on. Engine oil is the most crucial component of a motor and this is not something you should neglect. Oil is very inexpensive and simple to drain and fill on this bike.

I currently have 4:000 miles on my 2022 Honda ADV 150. I change my oil every 1,000 miles to stay on top of it. Oil is cheap maintenance and easy to do.👍

I just traded my 2009 Yamaha Vino 125 for my new 2022 Honda Candy Red ADV 150. I love it so far with a little over 200 miles on it currently. Thanks for the heads up on oil consumption as I never had any oil loss from my Yamaha at 1,000 oil changes. I always use Mobil 1 in my scooters. Your right about the windscreen as I feel it really is more for looks than function ability. Maybe a full windshield will be available at a latter date by aftermarket dealers. Enjoy your riding👍

I really enjoy your perspective on the ADV. I'm taking my BRC next weekend, then hopefully will decide on a bike in the near future. Thinking about the ADV or PCX, but am also considering the Rebel or Yamaha MT-03. Videos like yours are helping to make the decision (or to make it harder to decide!).

Since you asked about video ideas, I'll mention one that would help me! I recently purchased a brand new 2021 Honda ADV 150 but can't drive it yet until I complete my motorcycle course. This will be my first motorcycle/scooter and I'm 5'6 around 150lbs. I can comfortably sit on the bike with both feet able to touch the ground but I'm having a hard time figuring out how easy it will be to maneuver the bike because when parked feels pretty heavy. I know centrifugal force helps keep the bike upwards in motion but since I haven't actually driven mine my brain still has problems recognizing this so when I sit on the scooter I get a bit worried about turning/counter steering etc. Would you be able to make a video talking about its maneuverability as well as how friendly or unfriendly it is towards a first time rider? I greatly appreciate your videos and look forward to more riding videos!

I took a shot of the oil brand picture that you provided. When it comes time to change oil, I'll endeavor to do it myself because the local dealer can take many many weeks to get jobs in and out which is crazy. The weather here is warm now, and here I am watching you ride instead of riding my own ADV. lol Like you, I find that I just don't like the sound of the wind at higher speeds. I wondered if a full face helmet would make a big difference.

We’re 28 and we wake up daily at 4am and I completely agree that businesses should be open earlier! But then again it’s really nice to get stuff done and nobody else is on the road hhaha - J
