That is exactly what came to my mind. Even though it is six years past this happening, it still feels like they handled this with friendship and care for the whole group. I’ve watched Chris Rupp and he seems to be doing great. I really like Adam Chance as the replacement. I think the group is blessed. I could not believe the attitudes of Pentatonix when Avi quit. There was anger there but no genuine explanation for that. I miss Avi in the group but they have managed to have great voices always. The video of Avi growing into his own skin, so to speak, was very off putting to me! I’m glad he followed his heart. He has such a beautiful voice. I’m so glad my favorite group - Home Free - was more mature and understanding. They have also managed to have singers who can each stand alone with their voice. I’m so glad they stick together as well as they have. Such wonderful talent and a joy to watch! I hope for the best for each person individually and in the group. They all have my support. They give such pleasure. I’m glad they went country as I was raised on country music. God bless each of the group - present and past! I loved the videos showing the group from the original three men. There does not seem to be any hard feelings among any of them. ❤️‍🔥🥰

Chris, as the founder of Home Free, you've let us welcome you and your group into our hearts and given us a style that has never been heard of. +Combattant A I would actually be interested to see what would happen if PTX took a break to go solo. Maybe collaborate with each other to make awesome projects that would have instrumentation. Scott already has two or three solo albums out, Kavin has a solo EP, and Avi has shown that he is a damn good guitar player as well as a singer. Everything at some point will feel tired and boring to the people who make it, that's why they try new sounds and do new things. I would love to see an Avi Kaplan or Kirstie Maldonado or Mitch Grassi solo album in the future.

I have been fun of Home Free since 2013. I listen to all their music including the sing off songs again and again every day. The group has shown the world that If there is the talent and commitment, every thing can be done. I see each person like 5 fingers of the hand. Every body has his own irreplaceable role in the success the Band. Chris was one of the founding starts with a lot of talents and vision. If you listen to the music carefully line by line, you can simply understand how his role makes the music full. Chris is a kind the bond who brings together the Bass, the lead, the Drummer and the Piano to be integrated one. While I understand Chris's desire to follow his passion, I tend to be disappointed when artists go solo. Bands, the really good bands, are always exponentially better than the sum of their individual parts. I enjoyed Gwen Stefani much more when she was with No Doubt, and while Amy Lee is an amazing, amazing singer, her solo ventures to me have never had the same impact as those works she did with Evanescence (well, except for the collab with Seether in 'Broken', but that's really just the same effect coming into play). That being said, best of luck to Chris in his future endeavors. He'll be missed!

+home bound that's a sad story you tell. It's true that Chris had the least stage presence of the five, but generally getting rid of founders is not a good idea. Apple doesn't do well without Steve Jobs, even though many did not like him.

+home bound I looked at him performing at that party. Chris has much less stage presence than Austin Brown. That's not to say he's not a brilliant musician. But David Foster is a brilliant musician and he's always put others with more stage presence in front of him when he's performing to distract the audience, which he's actually doing most of the work. It's weird knowing they're all likely reading this while we're discussing it.

The way I look at it I have twice as much good music to listen to as before. Both Home Free and Chris's non-acapella group, 7th Ave, are putting out some amazing stuff.
