B...this is AMAZING #factsandinfo that is a game change for SO many anglers. Yet another reason that you are the top pro giving back to the average Joe. Not taking away from others, but seriously brother... THIS is yet another reason why ANYTHIME someone asks me, : if you could fish with ANY pro in the world, who would it be?" My answer is always from the hip, always instant and always the same; B. Lat. Your grind as a man, father and husband has always been an inspiration to me, and I get so much backlash for not choosing Jacob, Scott or others, but I just don't have the fact's about the grind from your 9 to 5's to make your career of choice happen. The dedication you gave to your landscaping job and later business, is just phenomenal. It is really the reason I think you have what you have, you embrace the grind and know that hard work and perfecting perfect technique's is what brings consistent results. Thanks for always doing the best you can for the industry and humanity.

Brian, please come back with another video explaining how to locate setup on,, and fish your waypoints after you locate them. I have a hard time knowing exactly how to cast and hit the cover that I've saved as a waypoint. Sitting still my chart turns all different directions and it's really time consuming trying to find and actually fish specific targets. I know there must be a better way and I appreciate you explaining in terms we understand... much appreciated and thanks for all you do.... you're one of my favorites!!! 👍

All helpful stuff, but for me, 1 thing you said light a big light bulb (an aha moment). At one point you said you backed up over a spot. 🎆🎇✨ Haven't thought to try that & haven't heard anyone mention doing that or seen anyone do it in a vid. Now that I heard you say it, it makes sense that the sonar would work fine going forward or backward. Just have to adjust the mind to understand the image.

Thank you for not being one of those negative guys that complain about money and the silver spoon side of things, I think a lot of us that follow you closely like I do know your story and that you've worked your ass off for everything that you have and it's well deserved. And so therefore you can afford a graph at the wheel and at the trolling motor, but being a realist and just telling people "hey if you don't have it, don't stress it!!" fish with what you got and make the best of your situation is the most positive outlook you can ever give a beginner fisherman or someone starting way behind the eight ball financially if they can only afford one graph. I think that was super cool to tell someone that it's more efficient as a fisherman regardless of where your skill set is to utilize that front graph more than worrying about graphing behind the wheel and worrying about having more than you can afford. That's the reason why I watch your channel is because you're a real dude. You know what they say? Real recognizes reel.. see what I did there.😂🎣 Catch'em up stay safe hope the family is great!

As one of "those guys" who may go too fast for the customer to keep up ... you are spot on as far as the learning process. 2d and charting first !! *Then* side/foward/down hi-res scanning stuff. At least most of y'all don't need to worry about radar as well. Keep up the great stuff !!

I have a single graph on my boat in the back. A 7 inch garmin with all the basic mapping, with 2d and 3D sonar. I have a ram mount that I can loosen up and rotate so when I’m driving the boat I have the graph in front of me and when I use the trolling motor I have the graph rotated to the trolling motor so I can see what’s going on. I really recommend this set up starting out because it flat out works!

Good information. In the next video could you go over how you fine tune your graph to get the best picture such as sensitivity and contrast? Is there a difference in deeper water as opposed to less than 10 feet?
@BrianLatimerFishing
@BrianLatimerFishing 2 жыл бұрын
That’s all personal preference. As I mentioned in the video, I don’t change a lot of settings other than color pallete, and modify screen pre-sets. Occasionally I will adjust my transducer frequency in the winter on the bow for fishing vertically. All your settings are situational. It just depends on what you need for the conditions you have on your body of water. There’s no “this setting is clearest” that I can really give you.

Hey Brian. What's your take on electronic. Is it creating a gap between the haves and not haves. And where do we draw a line. Even as an entry-level local competitor you see a huge difference. Will it get to the point that it's no longer the angler skills but more the boat and equipment... 32in monitors pin pointing the fish. And electronics bait going to it.. not a dream but again where do we say enough is enough..

@@gewglesux Lots of open water, lots of big timber, some very dense. Probably 65%-70% flooded timber, most of which is less than a foot below normal water. The fish live in the timber areas. Easy lake to run, there are cut boat lanes, but navigating through the stumps is tricky.
