what a fail for affinity designer. never had issues with illustrator...trying not to go back... but the alternitives are missing basic checkmarks. Spent 2 hours now trying to get a svg from blender to affinity, because the shapebuilder tool was giving me issues so i had to make the shape in another program. rip

:( Sadly nothing is 100% perfect, even Illustrator has it's quirks, but it is true that with Affinity you probably gonna need some additional apps to get things done as it is just missing functionality. You could try to check out Vectorstyler (it is pricey but not subscription, there is a trial though)

Interesting how affinity is broken on svg files...

Well it is not that broken, but with these kind of optimized/complex SVG files, almost every piece of graphic software i used messes up.
