Yappy told me he knew a good place because I had to hide them from the ex. I live in Cal and thought it would be a great stash place so I drove 2 days to get there to drop them off. The first thing I saw wrong with this video was the fact that the county just wanted you to remove the bees from the property. You said it was a lot of trouble and you was going to make nothing from it. My thought was you should have dipped into the county coffer and had them pay you for the removal and disposal of those bees and there would have been no question as to the ownership of the bees. Of course the mandatory hazardous duty fee would have been in effect because of the fear of getting lead poisioning from the nare-do-well bee owners. Also requested that the county have a on duty deputy supervise the removal and provide escort from the immediate area.

I'd say give the bees 60 days hard time, but that is about what they normally get anyways. Wondering how you got the bearding back into the hive? Did you chase them in with smoke and seal the entrance? Or did you just leave them on the hives and hope they stayed during transit? I'll bet they are probably loaded with swarm cells... seeing as they only have a single deep this late in the season. I was going to comment on your "Sting" operation, but +426 SUPER BEE beat me to it. I need to get up earlier!

Watch a lot of your videos. Just stumbled on to this old video. Seems like kind of a sticky mess to get yourself into. I would think the county would have to take possession of them And ultimately auction them off if nobody claimed them. Be curious to know how it ended.

No one ever claimed them. I didn’t get paid and I gave the hives to a friend.

Look at it this way: if nobody claims them,you got a few new colony to add to yours.

I have all I want right now. I really hope they come get them.

628DirtRooster then, providing nobody claims them, in sure you'll find some one who would be happy to take them.

It won't be hard I can tell you that.

Gotta be interesting though, doing hive removals.

Really interesting video, how did you transport them in your truck? Did you put the hives in garbage bags or something? I'm not a beekeeper, so I'm intrigued

Waited until dark and slid them in my truck.

Does the county have a deputy named Bernard "Barney" P. Milton Oliver Fife? Is this really a county complaint 3 boxes of bees? Do you live on the outskirts of Mayberry? Will the culprit turn himself in and lock himself up? IF this is the crime of the week...next infraction will be not having four INFLATED "tarrrs" on your house...Nip it in the bud! lol

Got to nip it. If you don't next thing you know there will be jay walking and street light busting on a level you've never seen.

I’m sorry you had do that. Just because you are by law right to do what you did doesn’t mean it feels right. By the way, the del address is in Texas not New Jersey. Lol

3 hive setups all with bees, a tidy sum of an investment to just be willy nilly tossing out in a county field unannounced and uninvited. Did it ever occur that perhaps they where stolen hives and placed there by the thief? Maybe check the local bee clubs and ask around, maybe the frames have the owners stamp and that's why they're there? Wait until they max out in a single deep then catch the swarms.
@628DirtRooster6 жыл бұрын
Never thought about them possibly being stolen.

With that kind of dumb luck having someone follow you right to the point where you stop is one of the reasons I have my .45ACP in the car and my 9mm on my hip. Those county roads at night get rather dark and if a person thinks you are just stealing their bees, there is no doubt what can happen. Don't get me wrong, neither of these are answers or propagation for winning an argument, but rather just to make sure I am not a helpless victim. I'd much rather have a Sheriff Deputy there with me all the way.
