The problem I find with Thursday’s sizing recommendations is that they use sneakers as a reference point. Ordering the size of your oxfords or derby dress shoes would be a better reference point. I measure 9.5 D on the Bannock device. I wear a 10 in sneakers, 9 in Thursday’s, Meermin and Allen Edmonds boots and oxfords. 8.5 in loafers, Red Wings, Clark’s, and Blundstone. W/ med thickness socks as the norm for boot socks any fine adjustment is usually resolved w/ by adding a sneaker Indio or an additional leather insole. This is especially the case w/ Chelsea boots since there is no lacing system to cinch down and give ankle support.

I ordered a half size down but didn’t fit as well, had to order a whole size down. Very interesting

I tried Thursday high top sneakers in my usual size (as they say to do) -- they are just a bit too small. So, I am re-ordering a half size up -- we'll see if those end up a bit too big. I want to try their chelsea Dukes, so I figure I"ll start with my usual size, not the half size down as they say.

I had the opposite experience with sizing. I wear a size 9.5 sneakers and I fit into a size 8 in the Legends.

I would say that depends on a few things. If I lived in a rural area where it’s snowy and cold… then no I would skip these. If I lived in the city/suburbs and I was wearing these around town… then sure. I would just make sure, if you go with these, the sizing is spot on.

Great review. I've been wanting to purchase a Thursday Legend pair since a while now but i always back down out of fear of getting the wrong size. I'm from México so ontop of the price i would have to add taxes ans duties, and if i get the wrong size it would mean the start of a very annoying exchange process. My feet measure is 27.1 centimeters long and my sneaker size is US 10 (Adidas and Vans). So i'm in the dilema of ordering a size 9 or a 9.5 haha.

Hey man, I’m not sure on what the right choice is. But mine were the size I usually wear and a little too big. I should have went half a size smaller and just allowed them to stretch out.

Eh...bizarre to want snug Chelsea boots...by design, they're meant to slip on/off. Thursdays are a solid boot though...

I’ve found them in other brands and they’re still quite easy to get on and off. Just personal preference but I do agree that Thursday Boots are great boots!
