Gladstone, Stone and Hüller - I still can’t decide whose performance I love more. Each impressive and complex in their own way. I too will be happy for whoever wins but also disappointed for the other two who will lose. If I was forced to pick, I’d probably go with Hüller because I love surprise wins.

Hüller is amazing in "Anatomy of a Fall", and I'll be happy is this turns into a night of chaos with "Anatomy" picking up unexpected awards. Even though I do still think Stone is crazy great and should win.

Ludwig's score for Oppenheimer reminded me of Hans work in interstellar Can you hear the music might just be the cornfield chase of this generation Hearing that piece of music in Imax was one of the best experiences of my life Goransson has already a Oscar to his name for black panther he deserved another one for Oppenheimer The only score which evoked unexplainable feelings in me was interstellar and the Tobey Maguire spiderman theme But after hearing the score of Oppenheimer I can proudly say that these 3 are my top original scores featured in a film absolutely incredible

It’s a good movie but consider it in another light. If the movie was entirely in English, it would seem like any other movie on Netflix. The language differences make it more interesting. I honestly felt like Nyad was a better movie. Glad I watched Past Lives but I don’t need to see it again. I also felt like May December was overrated . At least that one wasn’t nominated. My favorite You Tube reviewer/reactor is back with her Oscar prognostications. Definitely agree with you about 'Oppenheimer' being the Best Picture of the Year. But to me 'Zone of Interest' is a very close second. 'Zone of Interest' is such a powerful, chilling movie. Would say it is the best Holocaust related film to come out in recent years along with the Hungarian film from 2015 'Son of Saul.' The contrast between the idyllic Höss home juxtaposed to what lies beyond the garden wall, where gunshots, shouting, and sounds of trains and furnaces are audible is the genuine horror of this movie. How anyone could witness the atrocities of Auschwitz or any other concentration camp and still be able to carry on with a so-called normal existence remains a mystery. Perhaps it can best be described by Hannah Arendt who called it 'the banality of evil.' Regardless, this movie in my estimation is the single best on-screen representation of this horrible duality. And unlike the Holocaust movies we have become accustomed to over the years, there is no bloodshed, emaciated bodies, or acts of terror that are shown on camera. And yet it is convincing. The knowledge we have of the acts of torture being committed is enough to frighten and terrify us that we need not see them to get the full effect.
