Spiritual Unfoldment with John Butler

Spiritual Unfoldment with John Butler

Күн бұрын

KZbin viewer Rowan Daly asks John Butler, "If there are so many people alive right now, then how does what we do as individuals matter?" John answers from his own experience as a young man who wanted to "Make the world a better place". Through long periods of loneliness and failure, he's continued to meditate and eventually find "Infinite completion."
Did you know you can now listen to John on Spotify and other audio platforms? Here is his most popular recording 'Common sense guide to meditation' (1m views) - ffm.to/commonsenseguidetomedi....
For your free copy of John's poem 'Clouds' join John Butler's email community here - spiritualunfoldment.co.uk.
Those wanting more detailed accounts of John's life experience - the formative influences, which have taught and made him what he is, will find it in his 7 published books, available through the website: www.spiritualunfoldment.co.uk/store.

@William Oarlock there's nothing that says what nationality she is. I think it's curious that she is complimenting John for his manner of speaking and your response is to write a personal attack. Why? John's videos are all about becoming enlightened, what you've done is just mean spirited and pointless. Even if she is American, her comment leaves nothing that should label her vacuous. Be kind to people.

Life is so funny. I already quit and deleted all my social media account. On KZbin, I'm disabled recommended videos, shorts and only commenting to say hi or asking something important, feeling a lot better living without social media. I'm so happy. Listening to Mr John Butler to fall asleep is hundred times better than mindless scrolling. I do that, my female friend was asking me some questions because she was majorly stressing out over everything happening in her life, so when she asked me for advice, I sit and wait for a second but then I smile, lean back, close my eyes and take a deep breath, when I let out my breath and open my eyes, she’s leaning in, she’s listening intently, like she thinks I’m about to give her some godlike levels of wisdom to her, so I ask “What are you doing?” She told me “Well, it seemed like you were about to tell me something good” I don’t like bragging but I do believe I’m somewhat wise

Speed bump, same here mate. My children are my world so you think it would be enough. For most it is but for others it's a mental thing. You're not my friend, not even close, like you said. maybe this will help and maybe it won't but I tend to find the most common denominator for people like us is not that we are truly alonenot that we have not found our true spiritual calling in this life. In the next days and weeks keep an eye out for things that make you smile or give you a sense of belonging in your heart. You will know when you see or hear them. When that happens ask yourself if there is something you can do in that field to help others. I truly believe the key to happiness is helping others and I hope that gives you some kind of solace. It is a great gift and real grace to find somebody like John Butler at such an early age. You are blessed :-) Please make maximum use of it and - if you not already have - start to meditate. Then, after some time, you will be able to really experience all that he says by yourself. Then you now longer have to believe in what other people say about the Divine but you will KNOW it. And this experience of the Divine is the most amazing and memorable experience you can have. If you don´t meditate you will probably never really own the experience of the Divine. Going through your adult life with its thousands of problems, fears and sorrows you might even forget all that John Butler has said. I wish you all the best! May you find the will and the energy to meditate on a regular basis and enjoy the feeling and the bliss of One-ness.

I have watched ASMR for nearly ten years now, but I’ve never watched one that made me feel quite like this. I know this isn’t ASMR, but this video accomplished what many ASMRtists try to accomplish with their videos. I’ve been so full of anxiety and pain for a long time, and this video is the only thing that genuinely helped me feel any peace. It made me very emotional, especially when you ended with, “ “The Lord is with you, it’s true.” Thank God for you, John Butler. And thank you to those who are sharing his light. 🌷

I can really relate to John. I've always felt different from other people, and like an outsider. My sister once said to me "you were always so odd." I just can't go along with the world's version of things. As a result, I spend most of my time alone. The Comforter is very real, as John said. I was once very broken-hearted, and I pled with God to send me somebody, anybody, to my home, so I wouldn't have to be alone overnight. There was a very comforting presence in my home that night. I couldn't see anybody, or hear them, but I could feel them, just like when you're in your home, but someone's in another room, and you feel their presence, even though they're not in the same room as you. It was wonderful, and strengthened my faith that God cares.

I've endured many agonizing days of depression, and I'm a suicide survivor. A friend suggested as I was going to therapy that I take a look at John Butler. This insightful, gentle soul has saved my life. Each time I find myself lost, I look out to the infinite eternal "with my feet on the ground" and simply listen in silence and in stillness. Soon the wind howls, the sun's ray shine, the birds chirp, and suddenly without warning, I soon realize "I'm never alone."

Don't let anything take your power away. What was given to you was given to you alone. All you can do is do the best with the time your given. Pain is one step closer to success. Just like a no is one step closer to a yes. Stay happy friend

When we are sad from painful events the mind wants to replay it over and over. This literally creates patterns of thought and triggers the body into reaction. Close your eyes and focus on your breathing. Be aware of what you’re mind is saying during the day without reacting or getting emotional. I went through a huge trauma in 2007. I learned to meditate then which is, to me, simply the practice of closing my eyes and being a blank slate. I got better at it. During the day I would just listen to my mind without the reaction. It is mind blowing how mental patterns dissolve with practice. The more mental space you create with this practice the more unbelievable opportunities show up. The people that created drama around me just started dropping out of my life. It was incredible to watch the process unfold. My whole life just keeps getting better and better. Sent with ❤️ love

+Timothyprice, here is my perspective/opinion: don't pressurise yourself to 'move on'. Feel the feelings, and allow yourself to go through the experience. Who is to say that your sadness and your pain are not important? They will come into your awareness less frequently over time, and your focus will move to other things, which will seem more important when you have grieved enough. On the other hand, the sad and painful events have been and gone, and you are still here - you have survived (I hope)! That in itself is something worth celebrating, something that shows you your resilience. Next time sad and painful things happen you'll know your own reserves of emotional and spiritual strength better. You'll also be better able to relate to others in their suffering so you can serve the world better. I hope you're starting to be able to see the 'silver linings' to your experiences. In any case, I wish you well

28:33 How I relate to John here. I'm autistic and have always heard people tell me similar things, dealt with the same kind of struggle. It does take a lot of courage to stand on your own while others treat us poorly for just naturally being different than others, treat us like the alien. It's sad how people treat others a lot of times, especially for being atypical; it always has made me sad. I relate to a lot of what John is saying overall as well, and to the part about not wanting to hurt the grass and insects when walking through it. I still feel this way and carefully walk through it so as not to step on any insects if I can help it. I believe God makes us strange or different for a divine reason. It would be quite boring and ineffective for nature's equilibrium if everyone were the same.

As for the message of this video, this was the best explanation of how the Ego can destroy you and of course others. The way John puts it is really mesmerizing and at first I thought he was just saying things I already heard by by the end it just clicked, the point he was trying to get across since the beginning in a seemingly directionless way made all the sense.
