This is THE MOST IMPORTANT mod you should do to your Grand Cherokee. No more waterbed feel, make your jeep safe, more confident, and handle like its on rails!!

Can't believe I just spent 3k Australian last week, on replacing front and rear leaking shocks on my Diesel GC. Rode like a waterbed as you said, thought that would fix it. Slightly improved but still not happy. Wish I'd seen this first.

Did your Jeep still ride good with the Quadra lift after those shocks? Do you have an updated link for those as well?!

Going with your advice on my 18 limited, never liked the handling from factory. I immediately put on 295/50 General UHPs and SRT wheels that helped. But now, thanks to you for sharing these upgrades on the sway bar just purchased them....blackops links are outrageous expensive...I paid 240. For the sway bar, EIBE40-51-022-01-01 We will see how it handles, of course now it will be a street runner.

I have a 2015 WK2 Ecodiesel Summit 4x4 with QL2. I am getting some clunking while going over speed bumps and the ride sucks. I figured I might as well "upgrade" my suspension while fixing it. What would you recommend? Should I get new "Trackhawk" sway bars, or just new front/back end links and new bushings (b/c my Summit bars are already good?) Also, should I replace the UCA? What about shocks? Thanks!
@AtlasWilder
@AtlasWilder 2 жыл бұрын
The clunk is the UCAs or combo with ball joints. I would delete the entire air suspension and do all new ball joints with New arms first. Do sway bars and links after that. Or do what I did and trade the 14-15 for a 18+ with the lighter aluminum suspension. Saved me the hassle for sure lol. I was about to pull the trigger and replace it all.

The BlackOps guys are saying if we want better handling we should start with Rear Arms followed by front Upper A-Arms. Then maybe end-links. There is also a fair amount of chatter online about upgrading Sway Bars. What do you think?

How does this set up do off road now? Curious because i watched your previous video with you running it down the Sand path? Is it stiffer all together? And how does it effect the quadralift off road?
@AtlasWilder
@AtlasWilder 2 жыл бұрын
It made the vehicle feel more planted in sand pre runner type situations, I wouldn’t recommend for rocky trail or rock crawling type scenarios. People usually want sway bars disconnected but that’s with solid axel vehicles most the time. For what I do just trail running and sand stuff it’s awesome. Less excessive side to side motion like a waterbed

Will an upgrade rear sway bar help for my jeep grande Cherokee 2019 Wk limited with coil springs from swaying a lot? Thanks
@AtlasWilder
@AtlasWilder 2 жыл бұрын
Yes I believe any version on the WK2 platform can benefit from this. It does seem to make steering feel a bit more twitchy from my previous experience on the 2015. I’m tempted to try it again on the 2018, however the revised suspension on 2017+ feels significantly better even with body roll.

Just replaced the bwoody sway bar end links with the black ops ones. Do you have any squeaking noise coming from your suspension once you changed over to the black ops ones?

Hey, this will this setup fit on a 2013 Altitude (larado)? Our jeeps suspension feels like crap, we have the lifetime bumper to bumper warranty. Every time it goes in I ask them to check specific parts for wear but they say it drives like it should. It's clunky, I assume upper control arms, but also feel the swaybars are a culprit. 104k miles, has the tow package, and from what I understand the shocks are now crap but unless they are physically leaking, jeep wont warranty it. Considering taking it on my own and replacing shocks, links, and bars.
@AtlasWilder
@AtlasWilder 10 ай бұрын
Yes it will fit and either it’s control arms or shocks. Sway bars made it more sporty feeling and not so soggy in turns.

thank you. i have a 2016 grand Cherokee and i have the same problem. i got it seeing the tire size and front double wishbone suspension-- thinking it is going to drive great.. My Acura MDX sh-awd has tire size of 245 and ride is so planted. Thought these guys would have done some thing better, despite of physics (larger contact area to road) so much on their side. Was i mistaken? Surely- FCA Engineering skills seems 2 not so great.

The 2017+ models do handle superior due to redesigned steering rack with electronic steering and not hydraulic. Definitely felt more confident.

Hmm… I literally just ordered SRT sway bars with black ops end links and factory replacement shocks. Similar, but not quite your setup. My Jeep is a mall-crawler, you think the 5100’s are the ticket for pure street over well functioning stock shocks?

Honestly the yellow version might be the way to go, the silver ones were a bit stiff. Everyone seems to be happy with the yellow ones.

The Jeep’s feels much more stable and confident, flat through turns and doesn’t sway like a water bed. I’ll have a driving review hopefully up by this weekend.

so couple questions i just bought the rear sway bar for my overland and can i make it fit with the stock sway links or do i need aftermarket ones? I also read on the forums that the srt front sway bar is the exact same size as the other grand cherokees
@AtlasWilder
@AtlasWilder 3 жыл бұрын
The rear oem links should work if you can get them off lol. The Front SRT bar I ordered was definitely heavier than the Overland one. I’ve also read that on forums but think that info is dated.

Black Ops recommended the billet endlinks over the roll kit, they told me roll kit was noisy due to its design.
