To add more granular detail to how he is explaining, whats worked for me is whip the rope as soon as your feet leave the floor. Then whip hard again as your feet are coming down to the ground but before making contact with the ground. Thinking of it that way has worked well for me personally.

I tend to find it more comfortable with my hands nearer the ends of the rope. I’ll try them nearer the rope end…. Double under cross is however, another challenge!!

I find I skip better with shoes off as I’ll naturally try harder not to hit it on my toes! 😣 but find it more taxing on my legs than when I wear shoes. Man wish your ropes were available in india for an affordable rate(less than 5 Pounds).Ropes over here suck and the good ones are expensive af, so there is an untapped market as most gyms here purchase ropes. Also many people are into skipping. Cheers and have a good day.
