Great drill. Once you learn to properly spin on the ball of your non-kicking leg, it gets easy, and this drill is perfect for that. 🙏🏽

Is there a way to practice the spinning part then? Any drills for that? Also I have no equipment of any kind, no fighters, and no fighting gyms near me. Can you learn teeps by yourself and nothing else? Also I don’t have full length mirrors and my camera quality sucks so how do you know if your form is right? Asking this for both Muay Thai fighting moves and general exercise. I used to rely on looking at my shadow but it wasn’t always effective for form check.

@@twentyonetortas5921 teep a wall or any other solid structure. Make sure you teep with the ball of your foot. For the spinning, shadow boxing help your follow through.

@Busy right now Drilling makes you both more physically able and adapts your muscle memory to naturally do better when under stress. You put up no alternative, yet are so eager to patronize me about how I "haven't been around long" when you clearly are just trying to oppose people for the sake of it like a hipster. So put down the vape and get a little air to your brain, and you might actually be able to use it for once.

I have problems with my rotation because I feel pain while rotating in my like groin muscles or something there, can't figure why. I used to train kickboxing and had really nice kicks, then i paused for few months just went to gym for a time but even there we'd choose days to practise martial arts. Now my rotation is much worse and I tried some of the exercises but didnt fix it( perhaps didn't try for long enough) i wonder what could be the problem

if you're older than ±30, most likely it's a lack of strength in the stabilising muscles. Try some targeted exercise to strengthen your hip flexors and gain some end-of-range strength, that should improve you no matter what. Passive stretching for flexibility doesn't help a whole lot, it's that strength with muscles we don't normally use a lot!

@@bla7091 nope, I'm actually 23 in 2 days lol. Idk I can try it, my brother also advised me to use deep heat cream for these muscles so they get relaxed i suppose or smt like that, I'm trying that aswell

I had the same(ish) thing, I started stretching the groin area (and lower body in general) way more often and now it's all good.

The chair inward rotation i get hard pain in what feels to be my femur? Is this normal? I get it on both sides.. same if i try to do the male splits..

@@r3cronus561 do all the leg stretchs you know for 10 minutes a day and keep it every day for a least of three months period, then try to split

I do mma and no, the number of guys who come from wrestling and end up getting beat up by muay thai guys is amazing…Also sum bjj guys also beat up muay thai guys so i would say do what you want or do both
