Sky - this is great! I’m Alex’s co-writer on “Improve Your Poker-Now.” What a fantastic conversation. It’s been so fun to work with him. This interview shows how amazing his poker mind is. Folks thinking about the book should not be intimidated by the depth of his knowledge here-hey don’t have to be ready for that yet. The book is like an “Alex Fitzgerald Starter Kit.” Our aim is to give everyday folks clear explanations of his most critical fundamentals that will help most players instantly improve. If you have any other questions or want me to post a few more details for your viewers, just let me know. Thanks so much for the coverage-great job!

Great interview. Alex is one of my favorites for his emphasis on playing exploitative/aggressive poker. Implementing the strategies from his training packs has gotten me out of the micros and making money in the low-to-mid stakes MTTs.

This once happened to me. I checked and one of my callers who was a very solid player bet behind me. I had an easy fold because I knew he was not betting into multiple players on that board without at least an ace.

The “no call” challenge… how do you handle the players that go all-in every single time ?
@SmartPokerStudy16 күн бұрын
If someone is playing that way, you only open-raise with hands you're willing to call their all-in 3bet shove. If they open shove and it comes around to you, only call with value hands. Be patient and allow others to call them and eventually crack them. And, you can always leave the table.
