I was just reminiscing about my old ballet classes and remembering how much I struggled with this. Watched the video and all the lightbulbs came on. My teacher had conveyed the "it's not ronde de jambe" so I was doing the flat turn but I simply couldn't make it look graceful, quick, or fluid. The coordination of the arms upward and movement of the shoulders in particular were such helpful tips. Your students are so lucky to have such an insightful teacher! Thank you for clearing up this mystery after all these years.

Here I am at 43 wanting to get up and try this again after 25 years and thinking there's no way my body would cooperate - what an inspiration you are! I would love to dance again just for the pure joy of it and I am so happy to hear that I might not have missed the chance.

It's been ten years since I've danced, but I recently found how good it was for my soul. I just wanted to leave a note & tell you how helpful your videos are. You articulate things in a such a way, that I'm finally discovering breakthroughs in my dancing - years after my prime. I saw you dance Juliet at Saratoga Springs, when I was a very young dancer attending the Saratoga summer program. Thank you for the memories & inspiration. Then & now.
