Improve Your Tour Jeté (Jeté en Tournant or Entrelacé) | Kathryn Morgan

Today we talk about the tour jeté or jeté en tournant. This is a very popular grand allegro step in ballet and many dancers struggle with it. I break down the step and we talk about the upper body, proper form, and some tricks to get you to jump higher. Hope this helps you guys!

Oh yes, definitely flic flac! I swear when I learned them as a kid it was something we just did en face, but now we only ever do them en tournant and I feel like I just look like I'm paddling around!

Grande here ehtrelece should peak at second position 90 degrees with arms in high fifth. Then the underneath leg reaches for a grande battlement back. I don't know if sab skips second , but the beauty of the step comes from the peak in second , mary

Right now in my adult intermediate class my ballet teacher is focusing on one grand allegro step at a time. Right now we are focusing on saut de basque. Could you please do a technique tips on this jump? I find it very hard to coordinate the legs and I tend to end up landing in an awkward position because I don't hit the correct position in the air.
