Hey Everyone! ) I’m Anna and welcome to my channel. Here, I post some useful information for English learners. I’m from Ukraine and I’ve worked on my English and accent, for the most part, on my own, but you can find out and trace my story by watching my videos. I’ve been studying American pronunciation for a long time, and I still do, and I guess I always will - because it’s not math. Learning a language, it’s a lifetime journey. I know exactly what it takes to become fluent and acquire an accent in a non-English speaking country, and I’ve never even been to one. And I’m sharing this information here - on my channel.

We love this video and all these idioms used in real life! It's amazing how many idioms native speakers use so casually!

I really thank you, Beautiful teach Hannak for this very video that is a great deal of learning for me. Although I have a C1 certification in English, I still need a lot to get where you are (which I think is more than a C2+). Many of the items that I need to do are mentioned by the coach and you. I always play your videos twice to get the most of them. Definitely, phonetics is my major area of improvement by far. But getting to know phrasal verbs is also a must too.

Your comment has disheartened me.I have realised my mistake. It should have been KZbin in place utube. My brother Mr Moni Gogoi who is an American accent coach for many years has shown me my mistake but I have not edited it.I have kept it intact to show my Indian friends and other friends living abroad so that they begin to dislike you.

Use as many idioms and real life language as you can. That's what really makes you pass for a native, not your extensive vocabulary. Many foreigners tend to use the same vocabulary they got from school in their home country. Or they concentrate on learning new words they find in articles/books. That makes them sound pretty monotonous, maybe even pretty intellectual, but boring. On the flip side, natives use simple words to say the same things in various ways. Instead of saying "I, for example, love hiking" you may go with "I, FOR ONE, love hiking". Instead of using "Wait" all the time, say "Hold on!" Instead, "The truth is or Frankly speaking" say "Truth be told". I wanted to write et cetera over here, but I'll swap it with "and so on, and so on, and so on". PS. the best way to pick up such a "live" language is of course, speaking to natives. But if you lack this opportunity, TV shows come in handy - their dialogues provide volumes of idioms, and you can be sure they are used in real life if the TV show is a relatively new one. Best of luck! :)
