Try straightening ur leg to it’s extent and point ur toes and flex ur laps

Look up a la seconde drills. You'll find exercises that strengthen those leg muscles. Then I practiced turning near my couch and trust me I hit it hard a few times but it really taught me to keep my leg lifted!

Kathryn- do you prep for a la secondé turns prepping directly front (‘en face) or to corner 1 ? I’ve always trained (as a female) to keep the leg in 2nd - but now working along side a (much) younger teacher who is training to prep to corner - please advise ! ❤❤❤
