@@apexpredatoroutdoors8308 huge help, I have 5 mil spec triggers and have been wondering how to improve them. I’m 1/2 way through your process, gotta get some flat honing stones. I’m truly thankful!

Use some blue steel dykum or a black sharpie on trigger where it engages the the hammer it will show you how much creep you have.

Serious question: Do you float around youtube being a dick every day?

I stone/polish the engagement face on my triggers but never checked the hammer heel clearance. Good stuff. They end up around 3.8 lbs which works for me.

Thanks! I'll make a part 2. I like a trigger with minimal movement and pull weight. If I could have a trigger with zero perceptible travel, I'd be all about that. I get as close as possible.

@@apexpredatoroutdoors8308 ironically my first milspec was just a part of a psa kit that is one of the best I've got for my uses.... it's already tight tight against the wall, I'd does have about a 3.5-4lb depending on my point of measure so I'm comfortable hunting and carrying but no grit, very little post travel, and super positive reset. Recently got a gieselle nearly half off on another psa sale. That shit is almost scary. Not comfortable with using as a hunt field ....least not yet till I try some more preseason testing to see what will/won't make it go.

@@ishnifusmeadle I do like a double set trigger for hunting, but otherwise anything less that 2 5 is asking for trouble. It's usually pretty cold during deer season here, and 3 to 3 5 seems to work well for that.

@@apexpredatoroutdoors8308 I totally agree. I got the gieselle ssa (as it is suppose to have a higher pull thru the stages than the common ssa e, but mine seems to break at the specs very close to the ssa e which is between 1.5-2.5 lbs lighter than the other. So it's too scary for me to hunt with. It gets cold here too (New England) and I could totally see it Goin off with gloves, but they informed me they sell a cheap spring kit that basically turns the poundage up a couple so I'm lookin into that. I love my psa, but that one I can't seem to stop pulling shots with. Still got work to do to it, but for now ima just get the spring kit for my new one. I love the vids for ur 80% build as I've got alot of various 80% builds of various platforms Goin on, I like tinkering and light machining, and the pride that comes with having at least doctored each piece even if it's not scratch built.
