It's impossible to date because the people are selfish and can't imagine even THINKING about anything other than their small-minded lives. It's hard to even make friends here. It's best to leave and go somewhere where people are fun and friendly rather than waste time here.

That is actually false, stats can numbers the most recently I checked for between the ages 20-49, there are and I do not recall the exact numbers over 200,000 men and 179,000 women. I think the issue could be many men are gay in Vancouver but they can be bi as well. After 50 men tend to die essentially sooner then women but this is changing as men take better care of their health.

GCBrad Don’t make this mistake. It’s not just about dating. It’s the overall social life. I used to have many friends and I used to find the best in every person I met before coming here. But now, it’s all different. No friends and I blame this city yes cause I had been a social person all my life.

HI there Al, I understand, as I am a very social person too, whom thrives with having many care based friendships with women and men of all ages, just keep trying. I have thus intentionally very pro-actively cultivated friendships and group events I go to in the lower mainland. I do find people to be very friendly in Vanc. But I also tend to reach out a lot to generate conversations and supportive connections with other people in the grocery store or wherever I am. Just keep trying, I have read the book Social Intelligence by Daniel Goleman which I found very helpful in creating meaningful connections with others even in 5 mins. I go to Just Dance on west 4th, you can google them, I have met many friendly, caring, wise people at these events. I also have many work friends, but I tend to meet people also just when I am doing my errands day to day as well and invite them to events I am going too. I am vegetarian also so I go to vegan meet-ups around the lower mainland and in the westend where I live too, like you I love to socialize with uplifting folks and do so a lot.
