I dont understand why equation 10 works for objects that have different masses… if you rearrange to get v1-v2 = -(v1’-v2’), it looks like the velocity is converted 1:1, but since different masses have different momentums at the same velocity, wouldn’t the difference in velocity change after the collision? For example, a really tiny mass at a high speed hitting a really large mass would cause the small mass to decrease in velocity significantly but the large mass velocity increases barely, meaning the difference of their velocity would be lesser after the collision
