Those flaps are non serviceable correct? There are many of us that have a mystery misfire issue that has been shown to be a result of those flaps breaking, blocking off the airflow into the cylinders so they end up misfiring.

Please need advice!! I have a 2017 f150 5.0 6speed. IMRC stuck closed bank 3. Ofcourse manifold is covered under warranty. But back back order. Really backed up. I'm thinking of pulling my camper 7500 lbs. 3 hr trip usaul down grades and inclines. Engine light is on. But no preference issues. Posted here to get some honest opinions on what im about to do. Thank you !

Zip tie them up and tape them. They're close to the knock sensors, so you don't want them banging around.

Yes, you have to buy a tuner and get a custom tune done

Could you make a video showing the general parts you use for a coyote swap. ie wiring harness, control pack, fuel pump,. Essentially what you need to get the motor running and have it laid out on a table. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for the information you have put out this far

I have a 2016 F150 5.0, when hooking up to scanner...code reads P2011 (intake manifold control circuit open (bank 2). Will that matter if I just leave it alone and drive on? It seems to run fine and gas mileage is around 21 on the road.

Sunsettvu no, you need to have a tuner turn that off. It won’t run properly. Fuel trims will be off

Im a ford fan and would love to do a coyote swap but its sooooocost prohibitive, i would rather bastardize a ford by putting an LS in there or even the donated motor from a chevy cutlass LS swap. that being said ive never even heard of this IMRC let alone know what it does?

@@baumiganssupperclub297 no, if you engine is factory stock keep it. You will lose power and torque down low. If you remove them you should tune the car accordingly.

15 GT stock manifold. So if I don't have a tuner ($400+) this will just cause a check engine light but won't affect drive-ability correct? Currently, it randomly cuts off while idling in drive-thru etc.

Wondering the same.. also if the intake manifold is already broken does pinning them open work? I'm guessing but I think pinning them open will work as if you unplug the IMRC the engine sounds fine. Also not sure if the pins will work but if you look at the design of there's you could make your own possibly out of some metal. I'm sure if it's different it is not by much. I'm going to look into this further and find a shop near me that can do the tuning side.

You can’t use either “vacuum ports” they both go to a small canister like area inside of the intake manifold and produce 0 vacuum
