Marshall, you mean electronically controlled wastegates? Those are standard Tial units and still have air lines going to them. There are wastegates out there that are electrically driven by a stepper motor and don't require an air source. Turbosmart sells such an item.

This is a very standard setup for a twin turbocharged V engine and it’s been used for at least 50 years now, there’s nothing complicated about it but it does need a lot of piping, mostly due to the charge air going from the turbo compressor to the heat exchangers and then back to the intake plenum
