I bought one of these recently, and haven't had the opportunity to use it yet. I got it because I wanted something really tiny, smaller than my Fluke 'handheld'. So I don't expect much. But you will tell me what I got in 16 minutes while I'm busy soldering a couple hundred leaded resistors. Win, win, as they say. Thank you.

I'm very happy with the unit I bought. The joystick button was a little slippery to operate but that was easily fixed by sticking one of those circular Velcro fasteners to it. Worked for me ;)

Informative video as always. It would be nice if some of these little units had more stable hardware triggering even if it would cost a little more. Only 200 mV would be the deal killer for me. FFT would be a bonus.

200 mV because the device has x10 mode turned on. 20 mV maximum

The link is $50. They didn't have $50 scopes when I was young, even ratty old tube scopes on carts were more than that. I was taught that bandwidth was measured at the 3db points and that looked way down long before 110mhz. It does look like a great tool to toss in the tool bag and I am sure I could troubleshoot a 15 meter rig with it.

thanks for the review, I was looking at picking one up. Your videos are always informative and a joy to watch. What would you recommend at a lower price point for an OScope?

Kinda weird, they've had a "premier" portable scope out for a few months now (DPOX180H), ...but send you all their products 'under' that. It's 2ch, 180mhz bandwidth, 500ms/s. Quite nice but 1Gs/s would be a lot more appropriate for its bandwidth. All these scopes seem to have very similar UI look. I wonder if they all inherit from a common software base.

I have one of these. Very handy for what I do as a hobbyist.

Nice little thing. I'm also interested in that function generator you're using at the end of the video, is that home built?
@IMSAIGuy, which oscilloscope would you recommend for a beginner: MiniWare DS212, FNIRSI DSO-TC3 or 1C15? Something else under $60?
@IMSAIGuy9 ай бұрын
of those, the 1C15

I just bought a competitor to this its the 'Zeewii DSO154 PRO' I bought it for a laugh realy as it was a tad over 20 quid . It is a true 1 MHz that I can say but there is an 18MHz version that I don't have The menu makes sense and it has proper BNC and Cal output, it starts at 50ns upto 10s and voltage down to 20mV it has a sig-gen in it which the other day I remembered and it quickly came in handy and did the job ! looks great plus well built. Turns out its no joke anybody reading this should take a look if your in the market....cheers

Mr. IMSAI Guy, would 1C15 be okay for a hobbyist, thru hole 5v projects?

I have one of their 5012H. It does some thing well, but it wont synch on an AM waveform, even as low as broadcast band 1 Mhz signal.
@davebleamwa2bxy799 Жыл бұрын
I paid $60, and wouldn't buy it again due to lack of vertical sensitivity and poor triggering.
