In this video, we'll discuss the IMViC Test, a crucial procedure used in microbiology to differentiate gram- negative intestinal bacilli (family Enterobacteriaceae) particularly E.coli and the Enterobacter- Klebsiella group.
IMViC test is a series of four different biochemical tests-
“I” = Indole Production Test
“M” = Methyl Red (MR) Test
“V” = Voges - Proskauer (VP) Test
“C” = Citrate Utilization Test (simply Citrate Test)
