OMG - what an overly complicated solution. Two simple ways of thinking of it.... (A1) What is 98/100 cancelled down? Answer 49/50, therefore 50 have to go out of the room - simples! (A2) Think of it as requiring 2% be RIGHT handed. 2 out of 100 is the same as 1 out of 50, so you have to remove 50 to achieve this - simples! See me after class!

I think the true answer is 2. Cuz , there are 100 person in room , 99 % of them are left handed , it means 99 person are left handed and 1 person is right handed and it means 1%. If two person leave the room (one person right handed , one left handed ). Now we have 98 person that they are left handed and percentage of left handed become true. Is that true???

The question is how many left-handed people should leave to make it 98%. Further, if you take away 1 right and 1 left handed person then total person in classroom will be 98 and all are leftie then it means leftie are 100%. The video maker really explained well.

We are 99/100 or 99% left-handed. If exactly 50 left-handers come out, I will have: 49/50. To transform this into a percentage, I just multiply everything by two: 98/100 or 98% I think that's it. Then.... Bingo from Brazil!!!
