It's obvious that Adam is the more famous one, but I really love how he is actually having a fanboy moment. Come on, xkcd is awesome

It's also true. If you glue wood properly, and then impact it hard enough, the wood will fail before the glue joint does.

It seems obvious in hindsight, but until watching this I hadn’t fully realized that Randall has managed to turn falling down Wikipedia rabbit holes into a profession.

To be fair to him, I fall down rabbit holes but I have neither the artistic talent nor the NASA level coding and math skills to prove any of the things I think upon and monetise the result. So he's doing more than a wiki-walk (TVTropes will ruin your life®)

2:00 in - as per the Schlock Mercenary comic, "Failure isn't an option. It's mandatory. The option is whether or not to let failure be the last thing you do."

A fun glue trick combination i like to use for all sorts of projects is twine and wood glue. Wrap the twine around the joint you need to be strong, and add the wood glue and it becomes like wrapping that joint in wood. Makes a kick-ass popsicle tower.

After watching the whole thing, it's kinda sad randall wasn't given enough atention, especially at 30:57. feels like everyone just cares about adam

Randall Munroe is the only way I survive religion class. I can never imagine him as the man behind cueball, Meghan, and Black hat, white hat, and Beret Guy, though.

Coincidentally, cyanoacrylate glue happens to be my go-to as well, especially for plastics, but I also keep a stock of wood glue and 5-minute epoxy on hand.

Trying to find the setup to Kurt Vonnegut's favourite joke, which Adam referred to, has turned into a rabbit-hole of fruitless internet searches. How Meta, I suppose. Anyone know it? Keep your hat on, we could end up miles from here.

IRBenHunter He quoted the punchline in many writings/interviews, usually as "the punchline to my favorite joke..." but occasionally just as "as a dear friend once told me..." or the like. He never actually said the joke itself.

Why is Ira Flatow passing over Randall so often? Randell lifts his microphone to speak - and Ira asks for another question.

Now I have a 'questing beast' moment: Perhaps that's why Adam is wearing his hat, and I want to know what Kurt Vonnegut's favorite dirty joke is. Investigating this is BOUND to take me down some rabbit holes. 😂
