I'm really glad you mentioned what you'd do in the case of back to front warping, because that's how I want to do it.

Very cool with the pink - I would mess it up for sure.. I mess up my cross normally.

Thank you for this demo. Where can I get the spool holder with the yellow and green spools (about 16:45 sec in)? And can they hold the Mayfield Carpet warp spools? I made something that works from a cardboard box and half inch wooden dowels, but want something a bit sturdier that rolls nicely.

Lynelle, That is a Westlake Lazy Kate which, sadly, you can only find used these days. You can substitute any other vertical lazy kate. I like to use the Kromski version for warping because it is a bit more sturdy: www.eugenetextilecenter.com/spinning-lazy-kates But any lazy kate where the rods are horizontal will do the trick & they should all fit the 8/2 or 8/4 cotton spools.

Thank you. I was just gifted a tabletop warping mill. I want to warp my next project, a grey/black log cabin pattern. I am winding the two colors together but I can figure out how to make the cross. Any clues or hints would be greatly appreciated.

That's a great question! The EASY answer is to just wind the two colors together and figure out which one goes where when you thread them. I wind up to 4 threads at a time without any trouble with them tangling while weaving.

Thank you so very much!! How many ends can I fit onto a warping mill? I've always done like 10" max on my warping board...same for the mill?

Catherine, yeah, you can use similar guidelines for the warping mill

I’m using a warping mill. Seems like you don’t worry about keeping threads in order.. does it make a difference?

Suzie doesn't seem to have any trouble with her warps, the threads work themselves out in the end while winding on.

If we do a lot more videos, we could invest in a camera gimble, that could help.
