As standoff starts and two sides are walking close , there is a small window allows you to jump back 1 time, creating a bit more gap and react time.

When I try to explain how *INSANELY* difficult standoffs are and how it's so stupidly counterintuitive that they're getting harder as the character is getting more powerful in all other respects, I am so grateful for this resource to be able to quantify just how ridiculous the window is for the attack prompt. Human reaction time 0.12s, button release muscle delay 0.2s, bluetooth wireless transmitting latency 0.015s, TV display latency 0.1-0.2s. Yes, you only got about 0.05-0.1sec to distinguish the real attack from all the feints. ... Btw, on Hard/Lethal difficulty, if you dont wear a hardened armor, one single miss costs you the entire HP bar. That's why the standoff is really a challenge not a bonus.

Dude! I love seeing ppl break down strategy in this type of way so awesome video & I really have to give you props. A bit similar to a guy named The Bushka who does PUBG mobile content which I love his content for the same reason. I'm not home yet but I'm eager to try to see if this will help me in my standoffs cuz in act III it's insanely difficult. I use to get all of them in both act I & II.. now in act III I'm either to early or too late. I've read several other ppl saying the same though, that act III it's too hard.

Ayyeee thanks dude! yeah the green tiered mongols are brutal. But it’s up to you if you want to do standoffs. By act 3 you could just charge right in if you wanted to

@@GooshyG Yeah I think that's what I'll do. I tried for 2 hours now.. I focused on when they move their chest, when they move their back leg, when they lift their weapon back, I even jumped back when it says to hold ∆ which you can do to increase the distance away & they still seem just as fast even though you're now further back. Literally nothing has worked for me so I just suck.. 🤷‍♂️ lol. I rather blow them up at this point. 🤣 I use to get it 98% of the time, now I get it maybe 2% lol. SMH. I wonder if different styles has any effect. Like in the game stone stance is good against swordsman, water against shieldman etc.. I doubt it but I'll have to see if changing stances has any effect. Anyway, thanks for the advice again. Great video man. Take care.

I did everthing like u said but i don't get the standoff. Is this a bug in the game or am i missing shomthing? Did the settings, colse range far range etc. It doesn't pop up. In the beginning of the game i had no probs with it now i am in part 3 and have this problem. Who can help me out pls?

I've played for a little more than 2 hours now and i can't seem to figure out how to continue the standoffs, I just kill the first guy and it ends, even if there are other enemies close

Hi Gooshy i am struggling to get the trophy '' all in the wrist '' having watched your standoff guide , so when you press up on the D-pad to start off the standoff then hold down on the 🔺 button do you have to keep the 🔺button pressed or do you have to press on ⬛ button or ⚪ button to get the full 3 attack strikes or 5 if your wearing that special armour that gives you extra attacks i just can not pull off that move to get the trophy please can you tell me the correct button moves to hold down thank you

Sure! You def need the Sakai armor and techniques to max out standoff kills to 5. During the standoff, the first enemy you gave you have to hold triangle. Letting go of triangle will initiate your attack. If successful, the other 4 enemies can be taken down by pressing triangle (you don't need to hold). If you still have questions, lmk 😁

@@GooshyG Hi again Gooshy thanks for reply in helping me to achieve getting the trophy , so holding down Triangle button to initiate the first attack to take down the enemie is only done once by keeping your finger held down on the Triangle button or is it a second press on the Triangle button to kill the remaining 3 to 4 enemies to get a perfect 5 strike for the '' All in the Wrist '' trophy ? ................ just to make it clear for me so i know what to do ! No prob. So hold down triangle will ready yourself foe the first enemy. You have to let go at the right time to kill the first guy. The rest, you just need to press and let of triangle for each remaining enemy.
