No Government gives a rats about us, never have, never will, every review has been a negative review making things worse for us.

I think the best we can hope for is that the new government is so deeply engrossed in the affairs of State that we can continue to go quietly under the radar, largely forgotten by those who are not happy unless everyone is legislated into an early grave.

Nope, it's just going to get worse until we all, as one.....remove our number plates.

Probably get more sense from the senior civil servants in the relevant departments concerned rather than the politicians.

The Government wants to get rid of any private vehicles, & make us Walk, Bicycle, or Bus, unless you're rich enough to own a horse.

If they are anything like most, if not all, Australian state governments they will slowly ,by stealth, try to faze out motorcycles.

If the come up with pay for mile payable at MOTs there will be no motorcycle action group because there will be so few of us there will be so few of us we will have no voice

How will they charge for vehicles under 3 years old that don't require an MOT?

@trevorphillips3055 hi yes good point but This come from Tony Blair and he came out with this when he was PM and there was big disagreement so he's heading the government think tank I believe just wrong as they take billions off road users every year we are just a rolling wallet
@trevorphillips305511 күн бұрын
@Leonard-kd7uj yep, I agree. We all know motorists are a cash cow. Despite all the rumours about pay per I still think it's a long way off. It will be extremely difficult to implement, much easier to increase fuel duty and ved. The other thing that could be increased is insurance premium tax.

We pay per mile already with the swingeing fuel duty taxes .

Don't hold your breath, this government is worse than the last one. I think their "detailed plan" is to do what they like for themselves, nothing to do with what is better for the people or the country.

Unfortunately I think the future of motorcycling is not good
