Anders has already explained he doesnt give a shit about those people trying to offend them because of their new songs... He wants to make music at the way he likes and he feels, and he is right! Art comes from the heart, not from the pockets :|

The fact people are upset that In Flames has a total different sound from several years ago is kind of funny. Life changes, Anders and the other band members have total different lives than they did 15 years ago. They're not going to be like a lot of bands who make the same kind of loud heavy music just because that's what people want and like or because the re order label says so. They write what they feel and give it to fans, that's called growing.

Remy F don't give those people your attention, man. That's exactly what they want. All they want is to force their egos over you and pull people like you down because they're all (apparently) so certain about the "truth". You enjoy In Flames, and that's all that matters :) and it's good to know that at least someone else out there enjoys and understands them. Peace over you.

Changing style is one thing and something I embrace with every fiber of my body. But not this immense decrease in quality.

maybe they did this because they like it? lol ever thought about the fact, that if u do the same things over and over again u maybe like some change. If they didnt like it this way, they wouldnt have done this album and personally i think its awesome

Remy F I personally love their new sound, like holy shit; I've legit listened to this song three times in a row right now.

Hello. This song helped me understand life in two ways. First is when my father was driving and we listened to it. I understood what father sees in his child. Pride and hope. And second time when my grandpa lost the fight with COVID (fathers father). The footprint that will endlessly echo through the end of times, a heritage. Stay safe and do not let these dark times change your positive attitude on life.

I'm an in flames fan since Lunar Strain album (1994) and I've "seen" the metamorphosis of their music year by year...and I'm still loving them. This song is a declaration of pure love, it makes me think a lot about someone that it's not with me anymore...maybe I should have said these words to her when I had the chance. But it's late now.

As a huge In Flames fan since 10 years back, I must say I like this song pretty much.

While listening to this song I always think of my brother who lives far from me (because of his studies). Although we are different, we are "the same" as siblings. I miss him a lot when he is not at home. "You are my lighthouse in the dark" - when I'm sad I remind our childhood and those memories make me feel better. To me it is one of the best song of In Flames. And I know this band thanks to my brother :D

Personally I've only been an In Flames fan for the past year, and in my eyes, they are the best band that has ever existed. Now, I love their older shit, but they were young and just wanted to be loud, Anders even said they were like the Annoying little brother when they would tour with other bands Lmao They have matured from their first album, and Anders even said at one point that what he is doing with his voice is what other musicians do with guitar, or drum, or any other instrument for that fact, he is pushing his boundaries and just wants to see what he can do with his voice, which is why he tried starting up Passenger. Now Passenger was just solely a project and I feel they were more modern rock than anything, but still amazing and his lyrics are just as good as In Flames, but just a little toned down, but he did this because he knew he couldn't do it with In Flames because some fans would just be pissed off. When Battles came out it made me laugh, because o felt like he just said "Fuck it" and just did what he wanted, still keeping true to the In Flames sound, but changing it up to suit more of Passenger's sound at the same time, and I find it beautiful and I love Battles just as much as every single one of their albums. Anders is experimenting with his voice people, respect that he has the balls to do that, that he is this passionate about music, that he is willing to possibly lose some fans just so he can throw out what "he" and the band members really want. Listen to some of his interviews, he will tell you, Battles was a totally new experience in the way they recorded, and the whole band played a part in saying "Hey, I like this" or "Hey, this is shit, we need to change it" and perfected the album to what they all thought was perfect. Respect that, respect the honesty they have their selves as a band.

I don't mind In flames sounding like 30secs to mars but why they didn't make the title 'When I look at you (I see me)' it could have made the song more noticeable.

Really, really bad. About as watered-down, generic, and forgettable as modern hard-rock can get.
