Thank you! We are building a 53' right now, for an eventual kit. It's quite a bit more complicated than most roadster kits.I would imagine you would be in it 40-60 grand in materials alone. Partially completed Cobras can be found easily and at a low price, but there are not many C1 projects out there. You could consider using a frame from another vehicle under a C1 body, but it still adds up. Or just buy a cheap C4 and enjoy an awesome sports car ;)

Get rid of the passenger side roll bar and make the driver side about half as tall. They just kill the look of the car.

Does the windshield mount to the frame? The kit cars that had windshield frames fastened to the body became loose.

The windshield bolts to a steel "cowl bar" structure, which is bolted to the frame. Definitely not bolted to the fiberglass :)

The cobra 427 never had a hard top variant. It was always a roadster. That's why the 1964 daytona coupe was built.

We do, however we don't advertise these services or supply them as complete kits. In conjunction with Strickland Racing, we can offer a Countach with an aluminum chassis. Strickland actually holds the trademark on "Countach". We can also do custom builds of another car, which resembles a certain American mid-engine car from the late sixties... However, these are extremely low volume and only done by special request.

Roll bar is so incorrect it makes it an obvious kit. Passenger side roll bar looks....... stupid. Paint is a 10. Wheels are a 10. Shifter and cup holders.......BOOOOOOO!

These cars are for driving, not drinking beverages ;) There is a lot going on with two single hoops. I'd prefer no roll hoops on a street car... you'd probably have a better chance of cracking your head open on the roll hoop than having it save your head in a roll over. To each his own though, it probably makes the passenger feel better :) Thanks for the compliments on paint BTW!

I I can say to those complaining about the interior is, NO kit car is going to fool anybody that it is the real thing.ESPECIALLY when the car in question was made 50 years ago in ALUMINUM body and this is Mae of fiberglass!! LOL ONE Tap on the body no matter HOW detailed the kit let’s EVERYONE know it is a kit car!! So this guy wanted HIS to be a little more “convenient” to ride around with a drink or two...SO DAYUM WHAT!! I like the fact he got it made...the way HE wanted it, and plans on enjoying driving it!! BRAVO!!

I would not call a kit car a classic car. A chassis of a cobra is a tube cage like a mono cock not a frame like a lotus.

In some ways, yes. Depends on what is important to you. The Kirkham frame is a wet noodle compared to ours, although their frame is very authentic (they have added extra bracing to the 4" round tubes not found on the original). Our standard rear suspension setup would obliterate it on the drag strip or a straight line situation, which is what 90% of our customers use them for, although we do offer IRS as well. Their body is aluminum, so it's really not what you would see on 99% of the replicas out there. That being said, we still like the construction of our body better. All kits have their advantages/disadvantages. That aluminum body might be great, but it costs more than our entire kit. You could literally buy 4 of our kits for less than the cost of one of their kits. In fact, you could buy over 6 of our base kits for the cost of one of theirs. I'd say ours is a better value for most enthusiasts. We have a much more comfortable car for anyone approaching 6 foot tall.
