I need to do this to mine! I have used Magnefine "inline magnetic" filters in the past with good success.

I was surprised at how easy it is to install! Happy Thanksgiving, and I hope you're doing well 🤓

I assume the vehicle not running while you cut into the line means that no fluid will be pushed through? Or did you pinch off the lines at a certain point to prevent the line from bleeding out?

Hello Nick, this is done with the engine off 😎

@H3 Humper not exactly what I was asking. Mostly wanted to know if I should clamp the lines before cutting them?
@H3Humper2 жыл бұрын
@Nick Maniaci If you'd like to minimize spillage, clamping them with soft-mouth clamps of some sort would be helpful. I was draining, flushing, and installing the filter, so I decided to not clamp anything and just allow the fluid to slowly drain into my catch pan. Fluid will leak out when the line is cut if it isn't clamped. I misunderstood your question 😎

@H3 Humper thanks for the reply. I had my pump replaced not too long ago, so it doesn't need flushing etc. So my hope was I could just clamp those lines, cut em, install the filter and it'd be alright.

How do you know which way to put the flow , up or down.
@H3Humper2 жыл бұрын
Hello Earle, the flow direction is pointing towards the power steering pump since it is spliced into the low pressure return line.
