In Living Color was so great. There was so much young talent on this show that they couldnt even afford to pay this cast to put together a reunion show. J Lo was even one of the dancers. You guys should also check out Homey the Clown, Anton the homeless guy and Men on Film/football etc. So many classics.

@ComicHorder410 Жыл бұрын
@@Juhboeee Have you seen how much Jim Carrey, Jamie Fox and Chris Rock alone get paid per movie now? I could be wrong, but I dont think theyve ever attempted a reunion, it was more of a statement on how successful a lot of the shows cast became.
@sinjin4563 Жыл бұрын
@@ComicHorder410 Chris Rock came from Saturday Night Live. In Living Color is the Wayans Family, David Alan Grier, Tommy Davidson, Jim Carey, Jamie Foxx (season 3 on) etc. They were seasoned comedian veterans with experience. They had all been in the industry honing their chops and Keenan gave them the big platform on FOX with the show. Not just random young comedians like SNL has mostly always done. Chris Rock made a couple guest appearances in season 5 but it was after the Wayans all left and the show was no longer what it was after the FOX producers took it over.

These guys were comedians first and were not afraid of pushing the envelope in their comedy sketches. You have to watch the show to understand just how hilarious and talented the entire cast was. Seriously the funniest show ever
@topspot4834Ай бұрын
Yeah, but you kinda had to be there to truly understand the impact. That show exploded onto the scene, it was must watch TV, at a time where we didn't have 50 different ways of consuming a limitless amount of content. There was usually one TV in the house, and most of them had In Living Color on from start to finish. It had such a profound cultural impact, and brought black entertainment into the mainstream. In other words, it made it cool and more culturally acceptable for white people to watch black TV (and music). When you combine it with rap and hip hop, and they were definitely intertwined, there was a huge culture shift, and we're seeing a lot of the impact today. Just look at the video and channel we're commenting on. Great show by an insanely talented group of people, and happy I was there to witness it ... Although when it ended I remember the feeling of complete emptiness, lol ... Felt like an eternity waiting for the next episode!

The skits with Damon and Jim are some of the funniest skits on the show. Damon’s work as Oswald bates on this show built my vocabulary and as I said on the last video y’all did they tried to see how far they could go. The skit with Keenan playing Billy Dee for a Colt 45 commercial (beer) was played by accident once on live tv and never played again that’s how crazy it was I think it’s somewhere on KZbin still.
