She died FAR too soon, but definitely left her mark on the world. I'm thankful for that each time I listen to her music. She is missed.

We so loved the Rankin Family. We met when they came to Carbonear to the cbn folk festival in 1989.Their music, vocals and dancing spoke to us and said "be proud of your culture and ancestry"I "followed you around" for years and I enjoyed all your performances. Its so sad to lose John and Raylene .I hope to include a tribute piece to them in my next recording.Cookie Heather and jimmy-we still love you. Stacey Family.

John, Mabou and Cape Breton have been taking a hit. John Allan, Rita, Raylene. Other top figure in Atlantic Music were Tom Connors as well recently, we lost Deny a few years back too. Its hard to grow older and see friends and Icons go. :(
