Never thought looking at a beautiful home could feel so profound, like I was staring into the vast universe, but alas, they were only furniture and rooms... I know the music is a heavy part in it, but there is something about harmonious and regal spaces that make you feel close to the universal "divine".

i thought the same thing. ..the first time I watched this, i caught myself being captivated the moment she "looks down pensively" ..I seriously had to pause it and go back and watch that moment again and again. ..i didn't know whether to be happy, to feel sad or to fall in love with her... - OR - all of the above. there's just something so beautiful, organic and human about that moment...

Such a sad melancholic vibe to this house. I don't know why, it's beautiful though. But as somebody who's dealt with depression, I've become very aware and sensitive to my surroundings and as soon as I go somewhere I know immediately if the place will lift up my spirits or bring me even further down.

I don't find it sad at all. I find it so full of joy. It's called On the nature of daylight, and to me it's a representation of how beautiful the changing daylight is. It's like age, every age has its charm. I can see all my beautiful memories flash before me. I thi K this episode especially represented the house so beautifully. The way a home can represent so many different positive things, bot with lots of people in it, or just the homeowner. You know, creating memories there, and also painting a picture of who you are as a person through the interiors you design

It does indeed comes across as a Venetian Palazzo with its high ceilings, mouldings, herringbone floors, and the light from that part of the world. To me, its even better than a Palazzo, because its subdued, with none of that ageing vibrant colors and gilding that always makes me feel like I was in the Sistine Chapel: wonderful to visit but uncomfortable to live in. With this space, I can actually see myself living in it. To date, this is the best episode from this excellent channel.

1:27 I think this is a key feature that a lot of homes miss is a sense of scale. Either it feels to big or the space is far too small for the furniture purchased. Another thing is a point made by kita konig is the layout. Most homes have weird, impractical layouts with no flow at all. This is simply an exquisite home!

Did NOBODY actually realize that the video - music “art performance “ I will call it , was dictated by the opening words of the very artist -“ .. the theme for me was a monastery meets Venetian palazzo” .. Which she succeeded in creating. “Happy” is felt , not seen. For those who mistaken it with funny - go to Seinfeld , it never fails . This is art, and it needs a specific angle to look at it from. I’m not saying it’s hard, just set your emotions right and free your expectations !

Glorious house, wish the music was less depressing and sombre.

Wow.... The Remains of the Day... The lighting, the music, the space.....Such restraint. The tension between the outside world and the inner world.... This building would immediately increase my IQ by 50points....
