In rural Ethiopia, community-based nutrition services are saving children's lives

Since 2008, the Government of Ethiopia has been implementing the National Nutrition Programme and Strategy, which seeks to bring malnutrition rates down to zero. Complementing these treatment services are Community Based-Nutrition programmes, which seeks to prevent malnutrition from occurring in the first place. Haremaya is among the districts where the Community-Based Nutrition programme is being implemented, and it is seeing positive results.
