Oh yes, Thanksgiving, you are totally right :-) it’s not celebrated over over here but, I have been thankful every single day of this whole month of course for safety for really good legs and fitness and health and, so many beautiful memories from this trip for sure. Well, to be honest I was already intrigued from my first trip (before I ever met Li) - but you’re right in a way, my love for her makes me even more intrigued by her culture… But in general, I do not agree with what you’ve said, I think of both India and China each as literal never-ending sources of fascination, for SO many reasons!! I think there’s no travel-lover or history-lover OR food-lover on earth who wouldn’t love one or both of these countries.

Congratulations on your finish. 5th is outstanding. Glad the Chinese sectioned off the roads for the race, otherwise, it would be like those doofus bystanders in the Tour de France who took out 50 cyclists. I think the "empty buildings" are due to poor construction and cannot have occupants
