Ooooo good one! Any blunt variation on ledge is so scary to even just try. Thanks for breaking it down and making it seem not so bad. Maybe now I can’t get myself to start trying them. Haha

I miss Rosemead. I bailed my blunt slide on the bank in the front. I almost feel like you were talking about me when you saw me hip check that ledge went home after 5 minutes into my session. Actually made it better that you were there when I went back two days later and landed it after that bail.

Blunt Slides on ledges re just so scarry. On Rails i'm kind of confident doing them because I can lock in. But ledges... i feel like i'm just going to roll out sideways and slam hard. Guess I will start trying them straight ahead like you recommended and jump off right away and work my onwards slowly but steadily.

You could be a voice actor and a pro skater.

A common mistake with noseblunt slides is landing with the board too vertical and it will also be dangerous if slipping out with so much weight sideways. The trick requires precision and landing more on top of the ledge than on transition and keeping your weight balanced so slipping out won’t be so quick and unpredictable.

Great video! Been struggling w these. Any chance you could do a fakie crook tutorial? Fs and bs. 🫡🧅
@AlexNiedtАй бұрын
By fakie crook do you basically mean fakie ollieing into a switch crook? If so, the secret is to learn fakie tailslides really well, then just do exactly that motion, except popping what feels like a little too close to the edge. You'll lock into a perfect pinch every time. Any time I think of it more like an angled fakie 5-0, it never pinches correctly and generally ends up with the scariest bails. Thinking "fakie tailslide too close to the ledge" seems awkward at first, and your brain may want to fight it for a while, but I promise it'll work. The frontside one is one of the most satisfying grinds there is.
